Past, Present and Future. Everything is written in the stars.
Yet some thoughts and opinions end up locked behind leather covers, carved on paper and shared with none but their own heart.

This is a view few are offered, into the inner workings of Brynja Starcarver.
As you take a glance at what lies beyond the covers of her diary.

Arrival
It's been a few days now since I came to the Spire. The people here are kind, yet strange.
They place themselves into classes and groups, give themselves titles and meanings they don't deserve.
It reminds me much of the traders of the steppe.
So far I've seen some spars and fights. Many here seem to be warriors.
Few are crafters and even fewer here are farmers.
When I arrived a thick fog covered the land, people told me stories of horrors and magic.
The guard house is destroyed and the tavern seemed empty most nights.
Perhaps my timing is bad, misread the guidance of the stars above,
yet perhaps this is what they wanted me to see?
I've met a few kind hearts, was offered stew and a place to rest.
But instead I've rented out a room in the inn, it's small, but cozy.
They even helped me to get a larger door. The doors...
Everyone here is so small, I've seen a few kin-brothers.
But cities like these are not made for our kind.

Stargazing
The days go by like a slog. Day in, day out.
Everyone seems busy or caught in their own world.
I fail to see the bigger picture in this town, it's so different from my tribe.
The people, the homes and especially the doors, they are all tiny.
But there is a silver lining. The ale good and the mead acceptable.
I write this as I sit under the nightsky, trying to read the future, yet blinded by past.
I wonder how the others fair right now.
My sister, is she still the Matriarch or will she too soon join me?
My brother, probably out there bragging about his latest hunt.
And mother ... I miss your guiding words at times.
It's been a while since I scryed for someone else, but today a kin-brother asked.
He's like me, far from home and left behind family.
His destiny was one rarely left to one, yet he was seperated form his other.
May the stars guide them united even if far apart.

Fate is called as such, for it cannot be changed, nor can it be reversed. It can only but be accepted.
