Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Why are they important to them?)— "To spread the word of Catharsis." the man briefly explained, his veil and his hood falling just short of his mouth, so it was the only thing revealed. "I’ve heard about the Spire through words of travellers on the road, and it’s been made strikingly clear to me that the inhabitants of this world find themselves bound to patrons, and serve them, rather than themselves and their own lives.” His golden, fey-touched eyes peered beyond that hood, and a hand withdrew from a glove, plastered over in draconic scales. “This is what patrons and higher beings do to us mortals.” - “And yet, we find ourselves praising them, and working in their favor. I simply wish to spread the word that we should be freed from enslavement to these beings. The Fey. The Patrons. None of these beings should have this much power.” He leaned forth, a visible breath leaving his teeth. Beneath that hood of his, glowing scars upon his face were visible- but only when one was up close. “I tried to find my way with the Fireborne, but they wished but to praise those whom cursed us.” - “Now, I seek to enlighten people of this realm to CATHARSIS. And usher in a new time of freedom for the common, mortal-man.” He stood, then, and turned to depart - evidently, the hooded man was on a mission in these lands - and he thought naught that he’d make any milestones on that mission if he sat around and spoke all day.
