The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.

“Nervous?”

You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.

“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.

“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium.  Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. "I come for peace." Cateria says timidly. The old lady looks like she's waiting for Cateria to speak again. "I come from the Midlands, I wanted to get away from it all and start anew. Too many people for my liking." She sighs, "The Nua Sidhe were relentless. I left the Midlands to get away from their insufferable pride." Cateria looks at the old women "Avalore is not fair to  many, and I intend to create a safehaven where all are fairly treated. My family was ridiculed and laughed at all my life, I will not let the same happen here."

Hello! I'm Dinomono and I'll be reviewing your application, while you're on the right track, there are a few things about your app that I'd need be corrected/elaborated on before I could approve you:

• The application template states a minimum of 250 words for the in-character text that is your response to the old woman, yours is about 100, so it'd have to be expanded upon before it could be approved. 
• Somewhat relating to this, the template also requires two in-depth references to our lore, to have compendium entries such as the Midlands or Nua Sidhe that you've mentioned also elaborated on. I assume the 'relentlessness' Cateria attributes to Nua Sidhe relate to the prejudices of bad luck the human attribute to Fey-touched, dedicating some more text towards explaining this would be a good example of what I consider an 'in-depth' reference. Of course, you're free to expand on really anything within the compendium!
• The final point is what I would ask to be corrected, and relates moreso to Cateria's appearance and what Fey-touched in general look like. Going off mentions of 'fur', 'claws' and a collar, there aren't any races in Avalore that could fit this description. A Fey-touched's appearance is one of a person, with solid-coloured eyes, a short average height and certain unique aspects to their skin (Scales, rocky formations, feathers or bark) that don't quite cover the whole of the body.
