Posters make their way onto notice boards and into the Militia and Guard houses. Readers are posted to read for any incapable of doing so. There are translations in all written languages as well as readers for those languages.
After much recent digging and reaching out to other groups, it hast been determined that those going missing in connection with the Sundering be mostly inexperienced mages attempting to enter the Ether directly. Some adept mages hast not returned from etheric exploration either, and art suspected to be taken, much as the others hast.
In all cases where the mage was seen taken, it appeared to be as if the mage cast something beyond them and the spell went awry. Spells going awry art common with the Ether branch, but this is not what would happen in normal cases. It seems the Chained One targets mages who seek to gain more power, offering them a way to gain it. The mages art, in time, to be used to pull open a hole large enough for him to slip through into our world.
If any ether beings make their appearance, tis best force them back into the Ether. This is one way we might delay the Chained One. If thou art a mage of little power, deny any whispers and offers in thine sleep. The offer he make rings hollow and ill. Thou will be naught but trapped until he use and discard thee. To use any ether spells which grant entry (Slipspace, Elsewhere, Portal) at current is dangerous and ill advised. Thou leave thineself open to outright kidnapping via these methods.
Please take caution when around any unstable areas, as they art likely to rip open a portal into the Ether. If any spellwork seemst to be acting in ways unusual, this is a way to identify that these areas art unstable. Mages art discouraged from traveling alone at this time.
