It was a pitiable sight. One that almost compelled many to action in spite of harms that may have befallen you or others present. An offered sacrifice, One to show resolve, determination. One to earn our respect, and perhaps our trust and our faith. Fine you will have it, or at least - mine. But Dare not turn this burden into a tool, nor a veil to hide incompetence and failure. I did not ask you to torment yourself. I did not ask you to bear this burden. You chose it. To bear the continuity of our well-being. My well-being. And with it you have taken away my choice. So Walk it. And Ask not for pity. |
