꧁ Aeralon Lothaire ꧂

“Trust is a currency I do not spend.”

Name: Aeralon

Age: 45

Race: Arsa Sidhe

Culture: Valkian-influenced however he has no real attachment to it.

Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance:

Aeralon Lothaire is a striking Arsa Sidhe with an effortlessly aristocratic bearing. Tall and finely built, he carries himself with the relaxed precision of someone who has spent a lifetime mastering posture and presentation. His skin is a warm, sun-touched tone, unusual for many of his kind, making the sharp lines of his face stand out all the more: high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and a perpetually assessing gaze.

His hair is a cascade of silvery white waves, worn long and loose, framing his features in a way that seems deliberately, artfully unkempt. Strands often fall across his face, catching the light like threads of frost. His ears, elegantly pointed, peek through the curls. Aeralon’s eyes are a deep golden-amber, sharp and attentive, with an expression that rarely betrays his thoughts. When he studies someone, it feels like he is measuring them — weighing their value, their secrets, their weaknesses.

He favors refined clothing with a touch of flourish: embroidered sleeves in deep teal and rust-red, a fitted dark vest with detailed trim, and a single flower tucked at his collar — a merchant’s quiet advertisement of his trade. His hands are long-fingered and precise, the hands of both a botanist and a duelist; elegant, but capable of swift violence.Overall, Aeralon looks like someone carved from grace and calculation, beautiful in the way a blade is, and just as dangerous.

Personality:

Aeralon Lothaire is the embodiment of polished ambition: elegant in manner, calm in voice, and calculating in every thought. He presents himself with disarming refinement, but beneath the silk-smooth courtesy lies a deeply self-serving mind. Aeralon views the world in terms of leverage; people as assets, conversations as negotiations, and beauty as a currency to be traded. He forms no genuine attachments, offering warmth only when it benefits him, and withdrawing it just as quickly when it does not.

He thrives in control, preferring precision over passion, charm over honesty. Insults rarely fluster him; he simply files them away for later use. He is observant, patient, and razor-focused on the restoration of his family name, pursuing wealth and influence with quiet, relentless determination. Though outwardly composed, Aeralon possesses an iron-hard pride common to the Arsa Sidhe, and a ruthlessness he keeps wrapped in rich, luxurious velvet.

In all things, he acts with intention, never wasteful, never impulsive, always aligning each step toward personal elevation. Aeralon is not cruel for sport, nor kind by nature; he is simply efficient, and in his world, efficiency is survival.

To speak with him is to feel both welcomed and weighed as though he is deciding whether you are an opportunity… or irrelevant.

Story

Aeralon Lothaire was born into the remnants of a once-distinguished Arsa Sidhe artisan lineage, a family whose prestige was shattered long before his birth. The Collapse left the Lothaires stripped of influence, wealth, and any illusions of grandeur. While other Arsa Sidhe settled comfortably into new cultural enclaves, Aeralon’s kin were left with scraps: small gardens, minor trade contacts, and debts to Valkian guilds who had little patience for fading elven pride.

His parents were competent herbalists and duelists in their own right, but they lacked ambition. They clung to traditions, to old stories of Aedall purity and Arsa Sidhe refinement. Stories Aeralon quickly learned were useless in a world shaped by Humans and gold.

When his parents vanished during a trade voyage struck by political violence between Valkians and Sanguifleurians, Aeralon mourned. Their disappearance left him with nothing but debt, a ruined estate, and a tarnished surname that invited pity more than respect.

So he rebuilt himself.

The Making of a Merchant of Advantage

Aeralon began with small work: guarding caravans, harvesting rare flowers from dangerous biomes, conducting private duels for coin. He realized quickly that rare flora were more than curiosities, they were leverage. With the right petals, powders, and tinctures, he could command the attention of scholars, mages, nobles, and criminals alike.

Where his mother saw beauty, Aeralon saw profit margins.

Where his father saw honor in the blade, he saw a bargaining chip.

By the time he reached his 20th year, he had earned a reputation:
A charming, elegant merchant with impeccable manners, and absolutely no loyalty to anyone but himself.

Why the Spire?

The Great Disappearance of the Aedall left behind a vacuum of mystery and opportunity. Explorers, scholars, treasure-seekers, all hungry for answers, clues, relics. And where there is hunger, there is wealth. The Southern Reach is a frontier ripe for exploitation: unclaimed land, abandoned settlements, flora unseen in centuries.

The Spire is the crown jewel.

Aeralon does not seek to unveil its secrets for posterity or sentiment. He seeks whatever rare botanical assets, historical artifacts, and monopolizable curios he can extract from it, legally or otherwise.

A shop near the Spire is not a memorial.
It is a strategic foothold.

A brand.
A base of influence.
A chance to elevate the Lothaire name from obscurity into whispered respect.

If the Aedall vanished, so be it, he plans to thrive on what they left behind.
