To the people of the Spire, 

You may have heard word of a murder occurring, committed than none other than myself. I would like to set things straight. While it is true that blood was spilled, it was not by my hand. Instead - Philip was killed by someone who seeks to tarnish my image. The use of the spell Gaesa, the imprint of chains about his neck, the lack of any written letter, all of it serves to pin the blame on myself.

But if you were to think, for just a moment, what reason would I have to end the life of this courier? Do you believe I possess the strength to tear ones head clean off? 

While I cannot tell you what you should think of me, I would like to put an end to any rumors spread regarding my innocence. Take up your concerns with the guard for all I care, for I will gladly do whatever it may take to clear my name. 

And to the true culprit, 

I must admit, you are smarter than I initially anticipated. Though, I do find it a little rude to deny me the chance to respond this time. Is the use of a courier service really needed? Should you keep killing the messenger, I doubt they will want to deliver for you any longer. 

You know where I am. I will not run, I will not hide, I will not cower in fear. You wish to take me home?

Come and take me. Not my friends, not the other inhabitants of town, me. I will be waiting.
