The fate of Xinshi remains unknown as the amount of reports of his appearances dwindle towards zero, leaving only that of verified impersonators. Yet the Southern Reach is not yet free from the influence of the old Patron, as a wagon arrives at the Spire.

The name Myo appeared quite suddenly towards the tail end of the sixteenth century as a prominent follower of Xinshi. Though they appeared first within the Mori Isles, they have been known to move towards areas of great turbulence to catalogue events and spread the values of their patron. However, their arrival at times supersedes the coming of said turbulence, acting instead as an omen of change.

Despite the rather meek appearance of Myo as an ashen haired Arsa-Sidhe, they seem to be quite self-assured yet aloof, and are known to favour scholarly conversations and the sharing of esoteric knowledge over formal settings.

Values

“Greater Good”, a term originally believed to be coined by Xinshi, is one that Myo follows closely. However this is not a simple instruction, and as Myo believes, sacrifice is a necessity to be undertaken by those with power. It is a game in which you may only lose, and not playing is not an option.

Myo is willing to share magic with those that they believe to be able to grasp at this “Greater Good”. They are known to favour scholars or those in positions of power, yet the conviction to be able to sacrifice for the greater good is what they seek most.

Views on Other Patrons

There is an aspect of respect which Myo holds for the other patrons, all powerful in their own right which shows dedication and practice. Still, they view them with concern, for who is there to keep them in check? Most of all, the Patron holds skeptical views on the Fey Coterie, given the fey’s penchant to be overtly self-serving.

Being a Mage under Myo

An expectation is held by Myo that, once sparked, mages will be responsible and respectful with the power bestowed onto them. They believe that the power of magic necessitates mages to act in the interest of “Greater Good”, and when it is needed, to sacrifice. Myo holds little patience for those that seek to abuse the gift for selfish reasons, but typically trusts the judgement of the mages themselves to decide what constitutes as the “Greater Good”.
