Due to a brew he ingested in his youth which led to his deformities, Marc's brain chemistry has also been altered to make him a deeply disturbed individual. His cutthroat attitude has caused him to be capable of sinking to despicable lows that others would find truly repulsive. His ability to form attachments to people is solely determined on their monetary value or skills, and once they have outlived their usefulness Marc tends to abandon them.
