Minecraft Username: Arihi
Are you at least 18 years old?: I am!
Have you read the rules? (Link): Yes.
(Optional) Were you referred by someone? If so, who: General Dunwater folk but got the link itself from DocProkaryote.
(Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): I don't really have anything to show unfortunately! But I very much enjoy Minecraft roleplay, and I sorely miss it. I've been staff on a couple of servers but admittedly, I have not played this game in quite a while. I'm really looking forward to the open world RP and the community that comes along with it.

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)
"You know, I'm beginning to ask myself that." That little response came with a pursed, thin-lipped smile from the frail traveller, wrinkling her nose in what very well may have been a fake smile. It actually paired quite well with the posh, somewhat-snooty sounding accent that rolled out of her.
"And to answer your first question-- all of a sudden, I do indeed feel quite insecure. Just a week ago, I was reclining in Mariza, enjoying the hustle & bustle of the city-- and now, here we are. Listening to..." One pale purple palm turned upwards, wordlessly gesturing to the hum of excitement and action around the pair. Letting her interviewer know that she hailed from the Midlands was probably more-or-less redundant-- after all, Blair couldn't really have been anything BUT a refined city girl. The way she talked, the way she flinched at any sudden noises or horses neighing-- even the outfit she wore. Much too elegant, far too silky. Who brings sandals & painted nails on a journey out to the frontier, anyway?
"But, anyway," she drawled on, flipping that hand to turn it into a dismissive wave. "You'd like to know why I've come. Well-- I suppose the same as most other people here, isn't it? A fresh start, so to speak. I wasn't wholly interested in the family business..." There was a pause as the Arsa Sidhe leaned in, with that crinkled nose returning as she elaborated: "They sell silk. And I'm afraid I'm not much of a salesperson, so they've suggested a return to tradition-- back from before they left the Korami homelands and crossed eastwards. A pilgrimage, and such-- I'm sure it's very common."
Whether it was or wasn't, it almost seemed pointless for that kind old lady to respond, at that point. Blair seemed content enough indulging in the sound of her own voice.
"Besides, I've heard it's quite the exciting place, and my life at home really had grown quite dull, I'm afraid. What better than to, you know, pull myself up by the..." Words trailed off as she reached down, feigning tugging on invisible bootstraps, but only finding silky trousers. "...well, you grasp what I'm saying. How long until we get there, anyway?"

Character Name: Blair
Character Race: Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: Appears early 30s / is early 30s
Brief Physical Description: It really does only take a glance to settle on the fact that this woman really is an Arsa Sidhe. Yes, she might be somewhat lacking in the height department compared to her brethren, with those silver-grey hairbuns barely eeking out a square six foot -- but that mauve skin & the narrow frame that it wraps around cements her as a patron of her race. She seems to have a penchant for expensive (or more to the point - impractical) taste, choosing flowy fabric clothing over anything of use.
