Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)
A young man with dark hair looked to the elder with his piercing moon-silver eyes, looking at her with a bit of confusion.
"Pardon?"
He would ask before realizing what she had asked him
"Only reason I'm here is to explore new lands and acquire treasures and power, the power to help me and a crew trek miles upon miles of untapped ocean. Anyways I'll be off, take care old lady."
As he finished speaking, the young man would look behind him at a small crowd he had heard, a group of Valk merchants that had brought wares from the Duchy of Rulan, a wave of nostalgia hitting the young man before he would once again come to his senses and continue onwards. Upon reaching the Spire that was talked about by those he traveled with, he'd look the giant structure up and down with a sense of admiration.
"Not bad looking for a giant rock that's for sure, seems you were actually worth something to someone back then but they seem to have left you to ruin."
With that he would be off to the tavern, spotting a few folk that have the ever so similar thin but lean physique familiar to Half-Elves and their kin. Sitting down in the corner he would gather his bearings before calling over a Fey-Touched tavern employee.
"A few things of mead please and some chicken, I'll pay extra if it means I get to eat meat."
He would await the employee, thinking about what the future would hold not only for him but for others as well.

Character Age: 20 Years
Brief Physical Description: Tall and somewhat lean build, 6' 2" with a moderate peach skin tone, long raven black hair, and eyes the color of the moon. He has a faint scar across the right side of his cheek that is barely visible for the most part.
