Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)
"Pfah! I'm not nervous, old hag." Cadayle barks harshly, raising her voice so that all in the caravan may hear what she has to say.
"I'm just so excited, I cannot sit still! Hah!" Half-a-lie, but naught that brazen cockiness can't cover, surely. Cadayle crossed her arms, confident in her deception.
The kindly old woman keeps her smile, patient, though to those with a keen perceptive eye (distinctly everyone present but Cadayle), perhaps abit annoyed. It's not exactly polite to go around interupting people, raising your voice and calling people hag.
"Oh? Why is that, young -"
"You see - " Cadayle interupts again. "I am keen to become a legendary warrior, renowned through-out the land! And what better land to do that than Avalon?!" Cadayle looks at the old woman now, a brazen, battle-hungry delusion brazen upon her features. She smiles, revealing a toothy grin which notably lacks a canine tooth. The old woman winces, someone must've knocked it out of the poor kid's face.
"Well - that's very interesting lass, but -" she tried to start again.
"Oh, you're asking WHY!?"
"N-no, I just wanted to -"
"Gahaha! Well, fret naught old hag. I'll tell you why! It's because of the Greatlings! Of the Stonerunner's Mountain fairing strength and Firebone fiery fury! I want to show those mountain trouncers and magma splashers what a true badass is like! So much so - that they'll be awed by my amazing muscles-"
Cadayle pauses to flex. There's not much to look at, yet. A few snickers emerge from the Caravan, a vein forms at Cadayle's forehead.
"And awe-inspiring berserker fury, that they'll be shouting my name, and they'll follow ME into battle. Chasing after any inkling of glory they can get on my many quests and ventures! I'll show them that a human can have the strength of a giant, or at least the heart of one!"
"With the Giantling's lass, if they follow YOU into battle, they'd just end up steppin' on you! Stonerunner? More like Cadayle-Stomper!" Came a jeering voice from the caravan. Clearly a dumb joke - undeserving of laughter - but somehow it brought merriment to the troupe all the same. Cadayle lashed around, indignant fury on her lips.
"Who said that!?" She barked.
"Nah nah, Gerwain." Arose another voice. "Imagine 'er tryin' to lift those rocks they toss 'fer sport! THAT'D Be a Cadayle-stomper, eh?"
Cadayle let out a roar of fury. It was silly, absurd, it brought more laughs.
"Well she got a temper, tha's for sure. Got a temper like one of them Firerunner bonfires! Har!"
Cadayle turned back around, throwing her arms up - then crossing them stiffly across her chest. Her shoulders tightened, her head hung, golden locks obscuring a pouting, furios face.
". . . Lookie lass." Began the old woman. Cadayle shot her a glare, the old woman weathered it. This was a child who needed a good lesson. She'd raised six of her own to know that much.
"Fightin' is nothin' but trouble. I'll tell you. People get hurt, and sick, and die, and when winter comes, they go hungry."
"War brought about the collapse, old hag. Some would call that Glorious." Cadayle shot her a keen gaze from beneath her sullen unkempt locks.
"No." The old woman said patiently. "That was a rebellion. Keen difference lass. sometimes you have to fight, I grant you, but you talk of war and raiding, and that's the work of brigands and robbers."
Cadayle growled, sensing an insult. "Are you callin' me a brigand, hag."
"Not yet. But you keep talkin' like that, some Valkan knight's gonna string you up, and that'd do no one any good. Why don't you seek a simple life? Plenty o'trade work to be found in the market places. The Valks are big on trade these days."
Cadayle looked ahead to the now setting sun, to the rolling furtile fields of the Valkan countryside. She spat, an intense roiling fury held in her furrowed brow and clutched fists.
"Nae, -ANYTHING- but that, old hag. Anything."
Rude. Again with the old hag, she exhaled sharply and shook her head, watching as Cadayle hopped out of the cart and began marching on foot, leaving the old woman behind with a surly look in her eyes as she stretched her legs alongside the covered wagon.
"That one, Gerwain." She said, "Is gonna get herself killed."
Character Name: Cadayle Fairweather

Brief Physical Description:
Cadayle is a woman of average height (5.8 ft), and build (160 lbs). She has thick, unkempt blonde hair, green eyes, and sunkissed skin. These are her physical traits, and by all means they are rather mundane and unremarkable. She bears no visible scars, save for a notably missing canine tooth.
These are her physical features, and anyone encountering Cadayle oft remembers them second to her more notable. . . flavor of personality.
