Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)

Character Name: Sylois Silva
Character Race: Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: 23
Brief Physical Description: Sylois is a young Arsa Sidhe male with a tall slender frame. His skin is fair and lightly tanned, without blemish but littered with freckles across the surface. He wears a mess of silvery hair, and carries a pair of deep purple eyes. Well fit for his age, he walks with an upright posture and a relatively lax demeanor. His face seems friendly enough at a glance, though a bit soft without the scruff of facial hair. Overall, he appears as a traveling Sidhe, easy to approach and befriend.

Daydreaming as he usually did, Sylois hardly paid much attention to his surroundings. Since he didn’t end up traveling alone, he figured that the cozy caravan he chose was safe enough to gather ample rest. Aside from the occasional glance to the rolling plains, he sat laid back in the wagon with his eyes closed. Only when the kind old woman finally spoke to him did he slowly open one eye, then the other. He blinked at her with mild curiosity. Why did she care? There were a million reasons why one would travel so far, and he could answer with any one of them. Knowledge of his adventures would hardly benefit her, but he shrugged. After all, he was curious himself.
“Well my fair lady, I figured my reasons for travel don’t differ too much from anyone else’s. Just look around!” He gestured to the plains around them. “Something new to see gives my lungs their fill of breath. What is life without adventure? Without the beauty of the unknown?” A smile grew to his lips as he slowly settled back into his seat, crossing one leg over the other. In his lap rested his bow, which he carefully ran his fingers across. “I’m a wandering soul, you see. It is in my nature to travel beyond. Perhaps for myself, this is reason enough.”
Whether she gave a response or not, Sylois returned to his idle napping along the journey. He only hoped that his answer gave her some sense of awe, as the truth of his departure was not a tale worth telling. The Collapse left his family in shambles, and in truth he was the only Silva remaining. His travels serve as a means to give the Silva clan a fresh start, and avoid the various rivalries amongst his own elven kin. Korami clans were never known for their diplomacy, and after the tragic events of yore many elven families were divided. This was no different for his own clan, who worked in arms crafting and bounty hunts. An opposing clan disrupted their trade in a single night, wiping the Silva clan off the face of the earth, and leaving Sylois as the sole survivor. The only remnant of his family was his father's blade, which leant against his side, tucked under an arm. Its hilt was tied to the sheathe, never to be drawn until the safety of the Silva clan was secured.
Before he knew it, Sylois fell back into the deep confines of his own mind. Could he please his family, who now lived on in the afterlife? The thought of failure made him grimace, but he didn't stir from his rest. 'In due time, Sy. In due time...'
