A story that has been passed from parent to child in the Mist Isles: the tale of the origin of woglets.

It tells of a prideful king, fueled by ego, who mistreated a powerful witch and was turned into a frog-like bipedal creature, along with his entire kingdom, as punishment. The king alone was cursed with immortality, doomed to watch both himself and his people reduced forever to little more than animals and pets.

So the superstitious claim this to be the origin of woglets. Some even claim that there is a Woglet Kingdom, still ruled by the same prideful king.

But that is nothing but a tale for children. And yet, sometimes, the croaking beyond the mist sounds particularly royal.
