(Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): Hi, online I go by the name Perryrhexis, or Perry. I've been a roleplayer for most my life now. Started minecraft roleplay back in 2012 I think. I'm a father of two, which has left me with a lot less time to play games and such, but I still like the continued story experience that minecraft servers provide, that weekly DnD games can't provide, and other computer games can't itch since they're usually too scripted.

Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

"Oh, why that's quite a story to tell miss." she looks out over the road ahead, seeing it stretches on for miles, she takes a deep breath, looks towards the kind olf lady and starts her story.
"Have you heard of the Satkova family? Oh, I doubt you have, they're an estranged minor noble house from the duchy of Rulan who couldn't hold a crown to their name if they wanted to. Though surely they acted like they could. Wait... Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself." She clears her throat and takes another deep breath. "I am Vanessa Lucilda d'Epina Satkova, pleasure to make your acquaintance. As the long name might suggest, my parents thought it important that I sound the part of a noblewoman, as well as act the part. And yes, I carry the Satkova name. Though not proudly I might add."
Vanessa lets out a soft sigh as she draws in breath again.
"As I mentioned, my parents were estranged nobles. My father from the Dutchy of Rulan, and my mother from a minor house from the Dutchy of Sanguifleur. Which explains the 'd'Epina' part of my name, as a bit of an homage to the lands my mother used to call home. Both of them were, how to put this nicely, sticklers for noble etiquette. Pushing me from a young age to act and play the part of a noble woman. For one day I might find a handsome nobleman, preferably living in the richer districts of Katrinsa, so our family could rise out of poverty and become notable again."
"To them, it was just natural to demand I listen and did what they said I should do. That I'd not have a say for myself, for I had to uphold the family name and bring no further shame to it. As you might have guessed, I wasn't very fond of that life. Otherwise I wouldn't be here now would I. My parents also noticed, and my mother would frequently and loudly proclaim she wished I would have been a boy like my older brother. As then I would be more usefull to the family and its name."
She takes a moment to draw some fresh air in and control herself, as to not show how hurtful these accusations were, before she continued.
"Naturally I rebelled. I couldn't go along with this and expect to live a happy life stuck in such a place. I sought what opportunity I could to sneak out of the house and hang out with the 'normal' people who lived in the area. As such, I met some very witty people from south of the wall who shared in my rebellious spirit. Walljacks, the others called them. They symphasized with me and challenged me to take fate into my own hands. They also told great stories of things that happened in the Southern Reach. Stories of conflicts between militias (Spire Militia) and bandits (Hangua), strange creatures, heoric people, and powerful people wielding magic."
Finally she started to smile a bit.
"These people and stories inspired me to go out and create a better life for me. So I've gathered a few things, packed them well, and snuck out of our home. Heading south now in search of a better life... and perhaps a bit of power. As I no longer wish to be beholden to the will of others. I might not have much on me, nor does my name carry me around here (not that it ever did) but I'm sure I'll make something of myself here."

Character Race: Half Human - Half Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: 20
Brief Physical Description: Vannesa's most noticeable feature is likely her mahogony-red coloured hair, pale skin, freckles and cold blue eyes. She has a slim frame, related to her partial Arsa Sidhe herritage, and stands 5"10 tall. She prefers to wear darker clothing, mixed with some colour. Trying to mix practical with elegant clothing. Her face tends to be posed as she has been tought to not show too much emotion. While she is slim and physically not very imposing, she does manage to command a presence.
