(Optional) How did you hear about Avalore?: While searching online for a fantasy minecraft roleplay server to play with a close friend.

(Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): Hi I'm Luka I love minecraft and all things fantasy, I have played dungeons and dragons for about 8 years so I have a fair amount of roleplaying experience. I watched my older sibling play a lot of thronecraft a formerly prominent MCRP server growing up but I have been somewhat intimidated on trying myself until recently. My favorite pieces of media are the Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson and The Legend of Zelda. I'll attach a couple screenshots of my Minecraft hardcore world.

In-Character

Read the following prompt:

The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.

“Nervous?”

You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.

“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.

“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium.  Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?)
I sigh to myself dejectedly "Well madame if you must know I was on a valiant quest to reach the lauded tribes of the Ashlands as is my birthright however there were... certain complications so I'm now returning to my place of origin at the Spire to pray for success to the spirit of the fire-dragon, build up more resources, and party members for my second pilgrimage" a fire lights in my eyes "Don't you dare think of me as some baby adventurer, I am more capable than you can imagine and I don't like being treated with disrespect no matter how well intentioned, I may appear naive to your eyes but who are you to decide what experience I have. Growing up in the Southern Reach necessitates at least *some* ability as those without die to the beasts as I'm sure you know, I didn't mean to snap at you but my tongue is quicker than my inhibitions, I am Scoria If you feel no ill-will we can exchange advice?" I blush a bit "While you have more experience travelling undoubtedly, I can tell you all about my growing up in the Spire? The Council isn't as overbearing as they seem and there are so many people to meet compared to everywhere I visit. The stone of the tower really is hard as nails and between you and me" she whispers conspiratorially "I bet the towers magic has some connections to the Aedall but I guess that mystery is lost to time, I'm no scholar"

Character Name: Scoria 

Character Race: Fey-Touched (Volcanic)

Character Age: 17

 Brief Physical Description: Wiry but somewhat built, Scoria is strong but not very sturdy she plans to train as an archer. With ash colored hair hardened red/maroon scaly skin light red eyes and non-functional horns and wings she is clearly marked as her race but she doesn't mind the associated stereotypes.

Thy application has been denied after review.

There's many issues in this application, and as such it may be easier to rewrite it entirely with the following points requested to be changed in mind:
- The skin is not lore compliant. Fey touched are required to have solid colored eyes. Only Greatlings can have horns, and no race come with wings. Pure fey touched also cannot have silvery white hair unless they are half Arsa-Sidhe. They can however be blonde, albeit rarely; or bleached to a lighter shade. You will have to specify if hair is dyed in the physical description.
- To avoid OOC bleed, we require all applications and roleplay to be written in third person instead of first person.
- Your writing is a little difficult to read as it is one big chunk of text. Paragraphing and spacing things out is adviced!
- Your reply section also contains a number of grammatical errors, including things such as long running sentences.
- More narrative description in between dialogue sections may also be good.
- It's difficult to understand what exactly you're attempting to write as your character's lore, on top of being relatively vague. Tie it in more to Scoria's history if you want to stick with your current idea, for example. How did she learn of the Fireborn's culture? Were her parents from the Ashlands, and raised her as such? Why is she so determined to go out back there at such a young age? Does she agree with the cultural ideas, if at all?
