The writer would like everybody to take all information written below as undefinitive. Research into the written topic is still very new, and I am merely a bard who happens to also be the Spire's journalist now~ I do not claim any of the knowledge as true, nor false. I am simply being paid to release a piece on it.

A researcher under the name Ridinghood has revealed information regarding another mutant illness that has been appearing lately; under the dubbed name of Permafrost. Alleged claims say that it is capable of defeating Bloodwrought within a mutant's body in a painful process of freezing it over.

They claim that letting the Permafrost spread to 70% of the infected before the latter disease is killed, but other small scattered research efforts have varying agreements on this concept. Some say its less time needed, and some say it doesn't kill at all; instead stacking both infections' effects. However there's very little evidence for all of the claims across people's ideas. Some claim that ice crystals grow inside the mutant's blood and body, others say it only targets the Bloodwrought.

Means of how mutants are infected are relatively vague as well, but many have narrowed it to being an alchemically made illness.

It's unknown if there is a cure to reverse the illness in question as of the time being,  and there's a lot of testing to be done still regarding it.
