Refuge for the Whale Cursed
The white and teal tent within the Festival Grounds has been converted into a temporary shelter for those afflicted by the Whale's Curse and to serve as a location to study and research it. It has been warded to halt outside curses and hexes from afflicting those inside of it. While within the warded area the progression of the Whale's Curse is halted and its effects lessened. Guards are stationed at the tent to stop anyone from harassing or bothering the cursed. Assistance with researching the effects of the Whales Curse is welcome. Please seek out Grimshaw,. Gonelinus, Kyrus, or Thrudni if you would like to assist.
The Whale's Curse can be identified by the following known effects across multiple phase:
- A loss of color to the eyes
- A pale fleshy membrane growing around the eyes, turns into a mask in phase 3 two
- Growths along the skin, consisting of scales, barnacle-like bumps, or other aquatic features in phase one, turn into scales and other aquatic features in phase two
- Hallucinations of leviathans circling the Spire and one's loved ones appearing as mutated fish creatures, worsens in phase two.
- One's soul being slowly drawn into the Whale's Domain.
- Crystal like substances protruding through the skin in phase two three of the curse
- Reliance on proximity to the Whale's Domain and Mist for survival in phase three four of the curse
The curse is not contagious, but caution should be given that entering the mist or capture by those with rotten and fish like features has a high likelihood of capture and becoming cursed. These people are highly dangerous and hostile to the Spire.
