Read the following prompt:
The sound of clinking glasses and idle chatter welcome you in as you find yourself stepping into The Full Cask. An older man with a full mustache and warm smile beckons you over to the bar he's tending. His gazes washes over you, a glint of some knowing look shining in his eyes. As you sit, his voice rumbles out:
"Hello there stranger! What can I get for you?"
After you order, he continues to make small talk. "You must be a newcomer. I'm Maarten, glad to meet you." He says with a certain kindness in his tone.
"Tell me, what brings you to the Spire?"
*Matan would enter the bar as he sat at the stool as his cloak like hood for a mage like him covered his eyes other than the one silver shoulder pad that would glow in the lime light as the barkeeper was a bit too cheery for his taste during this time of the day*
“Ah greetings. Some Travelers tea with a tad bit of a blend to it.”
*As the Barman prepares the travelers tea for matan as he made small talk towards him as he hasn't seen anyone with a cloak and a sword at their hip*
“Well I am new to the Spire of course, but I'm always willing to make friends here.”
“The name’s Matan, Nice to meet you Maarten. It has been a good while since I've seen a friendly face since my trip here.”
*Matan would think about the question the Barman Maarten asked about what brings him here to the spire he had a reason but never wanted to share with anyone*
“Very well, I'm not used to telling anyone this but allow me to explain. I was born in The North, in the Kingdom of Tannit to be more specific both of my parents being Warriors within both of my parents being human and passing down their teachings and training to me despite me wanting to learn magic while i am a warrior other than us having to leave to the Faded Steppe to be exact and to get away from the cold… and try and start a farm to the Faded Steppe.”
*Matan says as he looks at his family symbols tattooed on his arm symbolizing honor and balance of his family's legacy as a Warrior that has fought so many battles*
“My Uncle told me a tale of two warriors like my parents. He would always come here before the disappearance. He never came back, I came to look for answers for what happened to him as well as my parents or if it was because of my family's rude nature of there being pure warriors who don't learn magic, or if both my parents and Uncle have gone missing.
“I came through here when I left the Midlands that's…. The last place where I saw my parents….”
*Matan was touched and saddened by having to say that as he remembered the tattoos given to him by his parents before they were last seen in the Midlands as a tear goes down his eye*
“I’m more of an adventurer when it comes to being a warrior and wanting to learn some magic, Sometimes it comes to me. Or I find it sometimes but my true purpose is learning more about the Aedell if there is anything about the warriors and how they trained back then.”
*Matan says as he takes a sip of travelers tea as he sides over a stack of gold to the barkeeper as he gives him a nod as he unhoods himself*
“I appreciate you hearing my story and for the Travelers tea my friend.”
*Matan says as he takes a sip of travelers tea and nods to the Barkeeper*
