Hi! I am 19 fresh out of highscool from the midwest US, Currently taking a gap year and have a lot of time on my hands as im only working a part time job at the moment. I have almost no experience with online RP and decided to give it a shot here as I've always had an interest in RP and had love of RPGs that are immersive in the RP aspect of that since I was small.

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)?
“Oh well I uh-” I clutch the locket in my pocket tightly “I promised someone I’d come-” I hesitated “My father right before he died.” “Recently was it? You still smell of smoke, haven't changed clothes since the funeral have you?” The inquiry dug up the pain of feelings buried by the drone of travel which flushed back into my mind, I clutched the locket tighter, the edges digging into my palm. “I guess The smell of burned bodies is more distinct than a campfire ” I thought, nervously giving a small smile “Travel doesn't give as much time to change or wash clothes as I thought it would.” the lady seemed to have a small frown of concern flicker across her face before a slight grin came back “Well don’t worry I’m sure everything will be alright for you child, we’re almost there after all and I’m sure whatever ghosts of the past that haunt you will soon be long forgotten, and May the Sun shine on you.” she leaned back into her seat as she finished speaking. "And May the sun shine on you” I replied leaning back into my seat as well “I just hope the ghosts stay there” I thought as I slumped back, drawing the locket from my pocket. The locket had a roundish shape like it was made from a coin with an eagle engraved into it. After staring for a while at the locket I popped it open revealing a picture of a Burly Valkan man and beautiful Elven woman of Korami descent, the last relic of my parents' memory and my last promise to make something of myself.
