Minecraft Username: Avajain
Are you at least 18 years old?: ya
Have you read the rules? (Link): also ya
Were you referred by someone? If so, who: technically. if you squint. in the youtube comments for the Redlyne ‘Exploring Forgotten Minecraft Servers 2’ video someone with the youtube username ‘coffeeconscript’ mentioned the name ‘Avalore’ in response to requests from people for them to share the minecraft servers that succeeded Hollowworld.
Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): so, like, broadly speaking i have a collection of skills that i could list here, but like, most of them are somewhat irrelevant (im hyper out of practice in most things ‘artistic’ when directly related to minecraft and dont think my other artistic skills would be relevant to a minecraft RP server.) that said, while i never heard about Hollowworld until watching the aforementioned youtube video (which i havent finished btw. i had to pause halfway through the Hollowworld section because it started making me cry because it started making me remember my experiences with other minecraft RP servers. anyways.) i have played on…two. im going to count two. two minecraft RP servers in the past, one of which i couldnt possibly remember the name of (which is a little sad since i realized i was trans while playing it. it was a hyper small one though) and the other one called Thronecraft (i couldnt remember the name of this one either but unlike the smaller one i figured out how i could find its name. it took a lot of email searching…super worth it though.) now, admittedly, i didnt play particularly long on either of these- maybe half a year, for each, on-and-off? but in terms of non-minecraft RP games, ive played on one on a platform called BYOND for…several years. like. three? four? five? idk tbh its a lot. i only have even a halfway good gauge on how long i played there bcuz i was staff there for two years. which. admittedly. i only remember because one of the other headmins left right after their two-year anniversary of being staff there and we both became staff (and headmins funnily enough) at the same time. i didnt leave until a few months after that though. anyway, so for the other non-minecraft RP game i played it for like a year before it closed, it was called Verdict, very fun, lot of friends played it after they left the aforementioned non-minecraft RP game. i eventually became staff there too but only at the veeeerrryyyy end of the game (it was after a timeskip and the game was basically being entirely rebuilt, i didnt really want to bcuz staff in RP games are sooo underappreciated like omg ive had enough of it but im reasonably good friends with one of the headmins there and they needed more staff to help deal with everything at the start of the aforementioned timeskip so. technically im still staff there but like. the game is down currently. bcuz like omg staff in RP games are underappreciated its so brutal) i really hope that’s the kinda stuff y’all were lookin’ for, by the way. oh. technically im a graphic designer, too, but like, im a mediocre one at best. but i do have the degree for it so thats neat. to pre-answer a question that should absolutely be asked: can i edit this down into something reasonable? yes. should i? probably. but most importantly, will i? absolutely not. if i am for some reason allowed into this game i think its important people know that i can and will ramble about damn-near anything if given the OOC platform for it.

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)
Even as she’s spoken to, Argenta remains with her head turned towards the horizon. Her fingers lightly tap the harp at her side, dull amidst the quiet roar of the wagon. After a moment, her head shakes.
“Reminiscing, more like. You’re right otherwise, though.” The carriage wobbles over a rut, her hand clasping the harp slightly tighter to prevent it from bumping against the wagon. “My Master has traveled the world-over, and I was at his side for much of it. He never traveled this far south, though, and on his death-bed he encouraged me to go to places he’d never before seen, and…well, he asked me to see them on his behalf, but I’m rather sure that part was one last joke at my expense before he passed.”
Only now does Argenta turn towards the older woman, a light smile on her lips. Her eyes stare blankly forwards, never quite making something akin to eye-contact. “He always was a bit of a prick, but I like to think I’ve taken after him well. He more-or-less raised me, after-all.”
Before the woman can get a word in, Argenta pulls her harp from her side, fingers shifting to strum gently at the strings. “Would you care for a tune? My own pale in comparison to those of my late teacher, but he always did tell me I had a certain…” Her grin widens just slightly, tweaking her ears up and down as she raises her voice to carry across the entire wagon. “...ear for melodies.”
Amidst soft groans, and a singular cheer from someone far at the other end of the wagon, Argenta laughs aloud as her fingers continue to ply at her instrument. “I’m all-ears if anyone has any requests. Whether of something they’ve heard before- on the off-chance I know it, at least- or for me to compose something new entirely. I could hardly afford to let myself slack off on this luxurious trip south, after-all.”
She listens as she awaits what people wish to hear of- calls for recountings of myth, of songs from Valks, Fallstone, and even the far-off North. With a slight huff she speaks up, head tilting to the side. “What, are none of you interested in tales of farther afield? The Mist Isles? Perhaps even the western continent…? I have a personal fondness for…” As the excitement in the wagon trails off into disinterested silence, Argenta sighs and mutters to herself. “I suppose I should’ve expected that. We’re coming from the heart of the Realm, after-all...” Her hands pluck a string harshly, ensuring she has everyone’s attention. “Allow me to sing a song about something we all have in common, then.”
Argenta begins to strum a quiet melody with her harp, plucking strings in to harmonize with the sound of hooves tapping against dirt and stone.
“In ages long past, when the era was new, long, long before me and you,”
“We elves were split, severed in two; some fled west, across the oceans they flew,”
“They built a home within a ruthless land, this much is true;”
Her fingers weave faster across the strings of her instrument, rising to a cadence as a grin enters her voice.
“Yet there too were others, those who fled the coup,”
“Ones who fled south, their hearts blue,”
“Never would they forgive the past, when they enabled rebellion to brew,”
“They took to seclusion, their resentment allowed to accrue;”
Argenta plucks the harp sharply once, her voice coming out softer, almost sorrowful. Her hands slow, plucking a note into the air just before the one prior would’ve faded. There’s a subtle discord behind it, just enough to gently unnerve the mind.
“And now they are gone, their peoples erased,”
“One and all, vanished without trace,”
“The south left without steward, none to lay claim to this place,”
“A realm empty, forests full; a land of desolate grace,”
“To the Reach we all race, to learn, to live…to replace.”
Argenta releases one last, long note to conclude the final, discordant verse of her song. Her hands still, she shifts in place- then offers a weak chuckle to break the morose silence she cast across the wagon.
“...I probably should’ve crafted a brighter song, in hindsight. Not that sight has ever been my strong suit.” She waits a beat for her joke to land before continuing, rapidly working to lighten the mood she herself brought down. “Have any of you ever heard about why the Erdhenne crossed the trail?”

Character Name: Argenta
Character Race: Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: 31
Brief Physical Description: Argenta is shockingly short for an elf, standing at only 5’9” tall. Her skin and hair are nigh-indistinguishable in shade from a distance, and up-close it requires casual scrutiny to detect the hint of tone within her complexion. Her eyes are not dissimilar; they are white, murky, and pupil-less, with only the barest rim of dull-red surrounding the iris. Her attire is fine, if somewhat worn and dirtied from travel; a long flowing black jacket lined in red, a ruffled white dress, tall black boots that reach far up her leg- and perhaps most importantly of all, a large black ribbon tied in a bow fastened to the hair on the back of her head. This leaves her sensitive skin hidden from the sun, all of it aside from the lower portions of her face, the tips of her ears, and her hands. Close to her side is a slightly-beaten but untarnished bronze harp, though at a glance it visually seems slightly too large for her frame.
