Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has lead you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum)
The short woman sitting across from her smiled over as she leaned in, her striking solid red eyes giving away her heritage in an instant. Though her lacking height was obvious even while seated, the woman's broad frame visible through her cloak spoke to armor hidden beneath. "A new start, I suppose," she said, thinking it wise to keep her response minimal "Isn't that what we all come for?"
Though she had heard tales of what became of the Aedall people that had once inhabited this land, no one was able to make out what truly happened. What she did know, however; is that Darkness lie in this land, monsters and beasts that need to be slain - and with it came glory. A new trail to blaze, a new history to be written. Anything, really - is better than another bonfire in the Ashlands.
The remainder of the journey she sat quietly, taking in the scenery as they made their way down to The Spire - mentally taking in what seemed to be interesting spots along the way; her mind alight with visions of ghouls ran through with her sword, specter's fleeing through the night, and bountiful treasures buried beneath long abandoned castles.

Brief Physical Description:
Short, as all of her kind are - she still manages to have a wide frame; typically covered by her armor, Morgane stands at the ready for a physical alteraction at all times. With her ever growing red hair, she often keeps it tied up in a tight bun at the top of her head for functionality. As a mark of her ancestry, her eyes are bright red - as if a fire constantly burns behind them. The sides of her legs and even as far up as her lower torso are covered in red scales, which also appear around the sides of her arms. The tips of her fingers always maintain a dark soot-like black texture to them, as well.
