Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Norin gave a small laugh, shifting his arm out behind him to the wood of the cart behind him. The shift helped to broaden his posture and Norin focused his gaze upon the woman to avert his worries, "I’m the fourth son of my father Rolf, back in the Midlands. I’ve done my part for the family, but there’s only so much land for one father to pass on. And with all the murmurs of conflict brewing, Valkian honor always can be taken a little bit to far" Norin gave a small chuckle, but then glanced away as if ashamed of his next words.
"The Reach... it’s an opportunity. I know the Great Disappearance was a tragedy," Norin's voice faltered for a slight moment before returning to a more hopeful tone, "but maybe, maybe this land can become something better. A place without the squabbling lords, where people can just live peaceful lives, one that the Lady of the Lake doesn't need to protect. That's why I'm going, I believe there's a chance for that dream."
Norin met the older woman’s gaze with a small smile, before laughing again. "Well, if that wasn't a small sob story for your ears. Off I went blabbering as if I was a siren, though probably not as pleasant. I know its a long shot, It'll probably be dangerous, there is still no known reason for the Disappearance, but I'll work for my dream."
Norin sat for a moment before realizing that after all of that speech he hadn't even said his own name. He had to start getting used to introducing himself, not just himself as a son. After a few seconds of pause as his cheeks began to flush red from embarrassment he a clarification, "Names Norin by the way, and you?"
