Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has lead you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

".. Is it really that obvious?"
A gentle, although somewhat bashful, smile passes over the maiden's expression. Her hands only pause for a moment, before returning to their idle fidgeting with the powder-blue fabric of her skirt, soft fingertips tracing over the line of a faded floral embroidery. Miss Fita Illirym, despite her most valiant efforts, has never been the best at suppressing her nerves. Or, it would seem, hiding them from others.
She gives a soft nod in response to the older woman's assumption. The icy tenseness present in Fi's shoulders momentarily recedes at the sight of the genuine kindness present in her expression. It's a quiet sort of relief, the idea that not every inhabitant of the Southern Reach's embrace was as frightening as she'd initially imagined. Her heart had been set on making this journey for years now, but all the determination in the world couldn't make the prospect of migrating any less daunting.
Right. She'd been asked a question.
"--Oh! Goodness, I'm terribly sorry, ma'am. I'm afraid I'm still a little lost in thought," says Fi with an awkward little chuckle, a hand drifting up to nervously fix her headscarf. ".. Me and my brother, we've come in search of plenty of things, I suppose. A better life, a place that feels like home.. but what I truly want from this place, that's difficult to put a finger on. Perhaps.. to make a name for myself. Yes. That would be enough for me, I think."

Brief Physical Description: A willowy, flaxen-haired maiden with kind eyes and a welcoming smile. She's rather short for her kind, standing at around 5'5, with vanilla-toned skin that often flushes a darker pink at the tips of her ears when caught off-guard. Her clothing is simple but well-cared for, a pale blue skirt with sewn-in pockets and a few hand stitched floral embroideries, a plain blouse, and a yellow knit cardigan. Her hair reaches just past a few inches down her back, the edges often braided to prevent flyaways from hanging over her face-- although, they still somehow always find a way to.
