Beastess Blue, by Sir Garland Penrose
Seldom am I left impressed
But saw as she passed every test
A fighter, scrapper, heroine
The beastess with the half-blue sheen
She snarls and bites and thrashes out
With strength unseen for the lesser bout
You cannot tame a rage untethered
I cannot see this storm unweathered
I find more grace and strength with her
Than whatever foe I faced earlier
Upstart knights are lost to time
But she rings in legend as sublime
A warrior maiden, brave and fine
She need not yearn or ever pine
A fighter, scrapper, heroine
The beastess with the half-blue sheen
The others present mattered naught
Her vibrant eyes were all I sought
When her tongue lashed I was caught
Ensnared—audacity begot
She belongs much higher than she stands
Were that her fists would meet my hands
Someone to meet her harsh demands
So we may crush these lawless lands
The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
Not piles of gold or fields of green
A fighter, scrapper, heroine
The beastess, my warrior queen
