I used to role-play a lot on different servers, but took a break focusing on university and studies. I recently stumbled across old characters and old memories, and it really made me miss a community where I can make friends and create stories and characters with. I cannot wait to meet everyone!

Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

"Oh!- Uh.." she smiles softly, rubbing her arm sheepishly. "I want to do my parents proud, especially my mother. You see, my parents were amazing merchants, Valks, who traveled and always would tell me their stories. My mother, however, was not just an amazing merchant, but an incredible baker as well. She used to share her goods far and wide. She always talked about how her lucky coin gave her the ability to reach so many people, and I can't help but wonder about her gambling habits. I always admired her and her recipes, though." She pauses, with a small sigh,"You see, she got very sick a few years back... I hated to see the way she would lay in bed, so weak and unable to do what she loved... She ended up passing, not without giving me one last task. She wanted me to carry on her recipe books, to make them for others and share goods just like she did. The Reach looks like such a place to do what my mother did, with different landscapes and people across the land. My brothers carried on with my father, and I thought maybe it was time for me to go on my own path. I'm not much of a fighter, so I feel a bit out of place with the Valkian Realm, with their strong steel and armor. It's so intricate and well, steel. The only steel I would use would be baking and cooking utensils.." she laughed softly, before continuing. "The Reach, as you call it, may now be my newest adventure, my newest trade route, and my newest path in life. I may just be a human, a simple woman who just wants to make her way in the world, but I hope to make it a great adventure." She smiles, a dimple in her left cheek, before relaxing and opening a recipe book from her bag. This might not be so bad after all.
