Hi, I'm new to role play, but am super intrigued and very interested in trying it out. I love how much effort was put into the lore for this server. I work full time as an electrician and don't have much free time but am hoping to spend some of that on this server.

The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

I glance up at the woman, catching her grin and mirroring it with one of my own.
“Oh, just trying to keep my feet on solid ground for a while,” I say with a laugh. “I’ve spent the last few years living on a boat.”
Her head tilts slightly, curiosity sparking in her eyes. “How did that come about?”
“Well,” I begin, taking a moment to gather my thoughts, “growing up on an island has its charms, but it can also feel… isolated. I was born on the Mist Isles. My father was a fisherman who made a decent living selling snail dye to passing trade ships. He always hoped I’d follow in his footsteps, but I couldn’t ignore the pull of the horizon. The stories I’d hear from the Valk traders about distant lands and adventures—those tales lit a fire in me. I wanted stories of my own.”
“So, I joined the crew of a Valk trade vessel. They were more than happy to take me aboard—apparently, I made for a good deterrent against Siren Serene’s wrath. For three years, I sailed the seas, learning the art of haggling, drinking more than my fair share, and losing way too many crowns gambling below deck. No lucky coin for me yet" I say with a smirk.
“But when I think back on it now, it’s all a blur—nothing stands out as truly meaningful. Maybe that’s the rum talking, but still. Eventually, I realized it was time for a change.” I gesture around, indicating the world I now find myself in. “And so here I am. I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for, but I’d like to settle down, maybe build a home or start a business. The Valk taught me a lot, and I’m ready to put that knowledge to work.”

Gareth stands at a height on 5'10 and has a muscular build from years working a ship. He has dirty blonde hair cut short and dark green eyes. He has a perpetual grin on his face and always looks slightly amused. Wearing simple clothes, he is usually seen sporting a white shirt with a leather vest overtop. Along with some worn in green pants. He doesn't care much for expensive or fancy clothing, however he takes pride in his ring collection attained from gambling at docks around the world. He is a well weathered hard working man and is never afraid to get his hands dirty.
