The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Arslan looked as though he was troubled. “I have come to the Reach in a journey for truth and knowledge,” he paused, “to see the world and learn all that it holds.” he continued, “Many among the Korami believe in a cycle of rebirth, of death and reincarnation. But in my many years of spiritual searching, I have found no answer as to the why, the cause. None have given me a suitable answer. No wise men in my lands have given me these answers. The same is the case for the many spirits, or the lack thereof, which are kept in my homeland. I cannot discern their reality, or why their rituals are important- of if they are indeed real, how they relate to the world at large.” He sighed. “I also seek to learn more about the world. I have read much of the disappearance of the Aedall, many years ago, when they vanished without a trace. Even though some speculated that the Spire may be cause, I could find no further information about this in my own lands, and figured this place may yield more.”
“Another reason, although there are many, as to why I have come to the Reach, are to see the way Humans live here. They exist among the Korami, sure, although I have never met any others before. I wish to come to the land of the Valkians, of whom I have heard little, other than their realm is prosperous, with marvels of steel their soldiers are often plated in. To learn this trade would give me a future, perhaps a better one than what I had in my homeland- and this work may give me some sense of what it means to live as a normal person, and not as a person who lives in books.”

Brief Physical Description: Arslan stands at 6 ft 2 in tall, with straight black hair, and crystal blue eyes. For an Elf, he is relatively well built, with broad shoulders, and a somewhat muscular build. He has a goatee as well, which he usually wears in a somewhat pointed style following the edge of his jaw.
