Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

"A friend travelled to there recently," He shifts a little, giving a quick glance to his companion who was busy making small talk with someone else. At least he's making friends. "She's.." What's a good way to describe her? "A researcher. Or well- A traveler that sometimes writes things down to send to me back home in the Mist Isles." He laughs, it's warm and airy.
He shifts in place, an ache already forming in the small of his back from sitting for what felt like hours, but the weather is nice and the wind isn't too much, so he can't complain. "She sent me a letter about the Southern Reach, calling it picturesque and so. Though she also added that I would be interested in the Spire- She isn't wrong... An enigmatic structure in mostly untouched land? Most scholars would fight for the chance to put their name on whatever discoveries lies within it." He leans on his hand, eyes focused on rolling grass that rock alongside the wagon.
"A tall tower isn't just the only reason I'm here. My mother left us not to long ago, taking a boat out into the ocean when she felt like her time has come... And my child? They've gone off on their own too, not really interested in staying put in the isles you know? Though it meant I was living alone- It just felt like it was time to get back into the things I wanted to pursue but had to put on hold when my child was born." The grass beneath them almost resembles waves, but that's just nostalgic jitters.
"I wanted to study magic, do more than just assisting archeological research like I've been doing for the past few... decades," There's a tinge of disbelief in his voice, almost uncomfortable but it's interrupted. "Maybe I can learn Ichor like I always wanted- beats having to take forever to do sutures..." He leans forward a little, a small smile on his face with eyes that shine despite the dark color, putting a hand out.
"Renna Mercedes. I should have started with my name." He laughs.

Brief Physical Description: Short, lithe, somewhat on the androgynous side. A soft smile against sharp, studious eyes. Long, curly black hair and ears that are on the more rounder side of those who are half-Arsa Sidhe. Always is wearing something that completely dwarfs his already shorter size.
