Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, the young Walljack finally glanced over at the side at the older woman, flashing a rueful grin in their direction, since he had only really heard her question, lost in thought as he had been. "My grand-sire was of the few Jacks that had the stones to travel into the Reach for trade, although the man never came home after one of his routine trips. Thought I would follow his footsteps now that the Aedall are gone and the path much easier, finally see what all the fuss was about, aye?" This time, the young man offered a wide, cheeky smile, in truth, he did not believe a word of fables, but it would still be one hell of an adventure, to be sure. "What's not to love about a new adventure. Who knows, maybe I'll meet one of the wicked Portents, and make all my dreams come true."
The wagon lurched to a stop and the man stood and glanced down at the elderly woman, offering a kindly smile. ""Fo' Stone'za then! This is my stop, I wish you good fortune on the road!" And with that, he hopped off of creaking wagon, mind set on his next destination.

Brief Physical Description: Byren stands at a physically unimpressive height, standing around 5'8, and weighting around 170 pounds, appearing more lithe than anything else. He has a set of green eyes and a full head of dark, black hair and is more often than not dressed rather plainly, more so for function rather than fashion.
