Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

*Noval reaches into his sack and retrieves a journal and a writing utensil. He looks towards the woman* "Well, I've come here to conduct research on behalf of Rayan University. I'm here to explore the Reach and create maps. To catalogue every type of indigenous flora and fauna that inhabits this place. To investigate the ruins of the Spire and learn how and more importantly why the Aedall disappeared. One of the greatest and most intriguing mysteries of the land, isn't it? How did they vanish? Why did the vanish? When did they vanish? Now that they're gone, do we even need to maintain The Wall or should we repurpose it? So many questions, so little answers. But hopefully my research will answer all of these questions and perhaps more we haven't yet thought to ask. And if I'm successful, then my name will be on the report that we present to the Emperor! Imagine that: Me, a lowly university researcher, getting noticed and perhaps promoted by the Emperor himself! So yes, I am nervous. But I'm also excited, and I can't wait to get to the Reach and start my work." *With that said, Noval begins writing in his journal.*

Brief Physical Description: Normally clean-shaven, due to the long journey he's been on Noval's black hair has grown long and unkempt. His facial hair has similarly grown into an unkempt beard and mustache. He has fair skin and green eyes. He's relatively fit. He wears a simple green tunic and a pair of brown pants with a belt for support. He wears a pair of brown work boots and currently has an eyepatch over his right eye.
