Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
Blinking a moment longer, I rub sleep from my eyes. "Curiosity, only partly," I say, sitting upright, pushing the cocked hat on my head back to see better as my melodic accent gives the older woman a moment's pause. "But also, to learn, spread word of the sea's wonders, and for more..." I gesture vaguely towards the group of travelers I've found myself with, locking eyes a moment with a weather-worn mercenary in ornate armor inscribed with the image of azaleas, sat resting his sword against his shoulder, point-down. "Variety. I'd like to learn more of the Aedall, and the other cultures that come to do the same." The Rulan swordsman nods, returning to his quieter conversation with a stately blonde Arsa Sidhe as I refocus my attention on the elder woman, who seems intent to hear more of my story. "I've spent years of my life sailing among the isles, fishing for myself and my parents, even helping to fight whalers and overfishers who disturb the seas." The woman watches intently as I adjust my belongings, jostling a sabre one would commonly find among sailors. "Instead of walking winding streets, climbing the steps of keeps, staying to myself for my whole life, I decided at my coming of age that I would build a boat, and set off to find new horizons, new stories, tell my own, and make a name for myself with adventure." The gentle, calm intonations of my speech had paired with the rumble of hooves, making for a lullaby that had put some of the passengers to sleep, slowing and quieting the chatter. "The seas were mostly clear as I left, and as I journeyed here, a far cry from the towering waves I've seen devour the craft of those who would disrespect it, so perhaps I've already gotten the Siren's blessing in my endeavor. I would like to find myself in her presence, at some point, too. She, and the sea have fed and kept my family and I safe, so I'd like to return the favor." Trailing off, I watch the woman's face for a response, but her expression is inscrutable.

Character Race: Half-Elf, half-Human
Character Age: 20
Brief Physical Description: Standing at five-foot-nine, Enya's pale skin and silver-white hair nearly make her a picture-perfect Elf, were it not for her green eyes, rounded ears and toned form, a result of years spent sailing from a young age, and her half-Human parentage. Enya tends towards practical clothing, to protect herself from the elements at sea, and for convenience.
