The Golden Shell of the Sunken Sea

A story from my hometown, adapted into a poem

Beneath the sky so vast and wide,
Where ocean's whispers dance and glide,
There lies a tale both bright and old,
Of a seashell spun from molten gold.

Upon the shore, where tides embrace,
A child once walked with gentle grace,
And in the sand, their fingers found
A gleaming shell with marks profound.

A hum it sang, so soft, so sweet,
A melody where dreams could meet.
The child, in awe, held fast and tight,
And felt the waves pull left and right.

The winds arose, the waters swirled,
A secret path to another world.
Beneath the sea where silence dwelled,
A kingdom lost, a dream upheld.

Through coral gates and sapphire streams,
A city carved from pearly beams,
Where mermaids sang in crystal halls
And rainbow fish adorned the walls.

The golden shell a sacred key
Had long been lost beneath the sea.
And now returned, it shone so bright,
Restoring wonder, love, and light.

A queen adorned in silver scales
Wept joyful tears in moonlit trails.
"You’ve brought it home, O child so kind,
The sea shall gift what few may find."

With whispered words, the ocean sighed,
A blessing flowed like rolling tide.
The child, now crowned in coral gleam,
Would guard the gates of ocean’s dream.

And so, the legend drifts once more,
To reach the hearts along the shore.
For those who hear the sea’s soft spell,
May find the golden shell as well.

Hex Liara, the Grumpy Chef

In a tavern warm, where banners hang,
Sat Hex Liara, her voice a clang.
A guild of warriors, bold and grand,
Led by a chef with a fiery hand.

Her temper flared like oil to flame,
Yet kindness lingered just the same.
A grumble here, a scowl or two,
But bowls were filled with hearty stew.

"Eat up, you fools, and mind your blades!
No fighting near my stock of spades!"
Yet when the night grew dark and cold,
Her meals spoke more than words foretold.

Through battles fierce and feasts so grand,
She led with heart and pot in hand.
For though she’d snap and roll her eyes,
A friend she was both tough and wise.

Harate Shimizu, The recipe for change

In Spire Town where towers gleam,
Lived a chef with a bygone dream.
His knives once danced, his fires roared,
But now his heart sought something more.

The scent of spice still clung to sleeves,
Yet purpose whispered through the eaves.
Not just meals, but lives to mend
A town to serve, a cause to tend.

With weary hands and wisdom deep,
He cast his lot where leaders speak.
No longer just a cook renowned,
But a voice to lift his town.

For change, like broth, must simmer slow,
With care and time, its flavors grow.
And so he stirred a fate anew,
A gent who dared, a dream he drew.

Helara, the Warrior Poet

Through windswept hills and battle’s call,
An elven heir stands proud and tall.
Born of steel and honor bright,
Yet words, not blades, bring her delight.

A captain’s helm upon her brow,
Yet ink and quill still call her now.
In verses soft, her soul takes flight,
By fire’s glow or moon’s cold light.

To Spire Town she forged her way,
A trial set, a price to pay.
To lead in war, to stand with grace,
Yet still find beauty in this place.

For strength is more than sharpened steel,
And might is found in what we feel.
So Helara writes, her truth unfurled
A warrior’s heart, a poet’s world.

Falliren, The show boaty knight

With sword in one hand, rapier in twain,
He dances through battle like wind and like rain.
A flourish, a bow, a confident grin,
Yet honor runs deep beneath his fair skin.

He laughs in the face of perilous fray,
Yet never would strike in dishonorable way.
A challenger bold, yet noble in fight,
Bound by his oath to do what is right.

Though showy in stance and grand in display,
He yields with respect at the end of the fray.
For victory’s hollow if pride is unchained,
And skill without virtue is glory profaned.

So steel sings sharp in his dazzling flight,
A knight both fierce and noble in light.
With flair and with grace, his path he has drawn
A warrior bright, till the break of the dawn.

Lucian, the wary smith

In fire’s glow, where hammers ring,
A blacksmith toils, a nervous thing.
With wary eyes and careful hands,
He shapes the steel to meet demands.

A mighty scythe, his chosen blade,
Though fear and doubt have oft delayed.
Yet when his mind is set in stone,
His strikes are swift, his skill well honed.

Each weapon bears his careful mark,
An "L" carved deep, a craftsman’s spark.
A silent vow, a promise kept,
Through trembling hands, through nights unslept.

But when the call of battle cries,
The fear burns out, the fire flies.
With scythe in hand and stance held tight,
He carves his name into the fight.

Yrn'ha, the purple Might

Big elf stand, so strong, so tall,
Great axe swing, make bad men fall.
One eye lazy, one eye bright,
Both see friend and both see fight.

Words come slow, not smooth, not fine,
But heart speak loud, like drum in time.
No trick, no lie, just truth, just steel,
A friend to trust, a foe to feel.

She laugh, She feast, She fight with pride,
With open arms, stand by your side.
Not clever, no, but heart is grand,
Like mountain strong, like stone in hand.

So when the storm and battle rise,
Look for her with one steady eye.
With axe in hand and voice so true,
She stand with you, she see it through.
