Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Kazimir, content upon his seat within the wobbling wagon had held his sheathed blade between his legs, with a gloved hand resting upon the scabbared and the other resting upon the quillion of the blade. The young, Valkian, devoid much in the way of socialability simply peered upwards as he was conversed with, confusion apparent upon his visage as his rough facial features, stoic and non-expressive bar the brief confusion simply stared for a lenghty moment, that was until he eventually spoke.
"Why have I come to the reach? I do not know. . ." His voice was rough, it was edged, as though Valkynian was stubborn in his fair retort, There was no silk to his tone, no honeyed persuasion, only the raw, unpolished truth of a squire who had little patience for pretense it seemed.
His gaze, now lazed peered around the wagon for perhaps the first time in their journey. Panning to the present few who likewise departed on this journey to the Reach, yet it was quickly apparent that perhaps, he was one of the few who had never travelled so far south and eventually his eyes returned to the kind elder, a bout of guilt washing over himself as he finally addressed her once more.
"In search of new beginnings. . . I suppose in search of purpose." - "There was no purpose to be had at home. . . not by the wall, not the one which I seek." He offered, in earnest to the woman beside him, knowing if there was any conversation to be had, perhaps she might offer some pointers. "I imagine. . . there is much opportunity, for someone like me, perhaps to be the epitome of honour? Strength? I do not know, perhaps the lady of the lake might aid me in such a matter." He mused, his words were one from amusement, it was more hopeful then anything else.
"But I am yet to find much which I look for. . . much which I want, perhaps in due time, no?"
