OOC Minecraft Username: Myrtle_Beach Are you at least 18 years old?: I am. Have you read the rules? (Link): Yes.(Optional) How did you hear about Avalore?: By recommendations of players of the now defunct server Astrophobia.(Max. 1) Were you referred by someone? If so, please provide their in-game username: Cinnibombs (Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins):Aloha! I'm Comet_Fall.  — In-Character Read the following prompt: The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands. “Nervous?” You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes. “I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in. “Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?” How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium.  Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?) Kam'Hanin stares dumbly at the woman for a dozen or so seconds, slouched and splayed about what space was afforded to him like a relaxing cat, his face giving the impression that what she has asked has no meaning to him, though after taking the time to focus and internalize what is asked of him, he responds. "Your assessment is accurate. Very well." he concedes, sitting up properly, his face assuming the expression of someone earnest and attentive."I come seeking land and abundance." he states plainly. "...Good soil. An alotment of land to feed myself and work a goodly craft." he bobs his head from side to side, as if expecting further questions and answering them pre-emptively. "I come from the Valkyian realm.- 'Midlands', as inaccurate a name as that may be, for someone has made a middle of a place with its own up down middle and sides..." he complains, briefly, twirling a hand. "Though, you'd think we were Falstoners by the wheatlands I was surrounded of. Most were required for the tax and trade and all that, yet despite all that phenomenal land, few fair ever grew the noble corn or the strong potato plant. 'For Flour Keeps Well' or so. Even were you able to grow a dozen potatoes where a wheat-stalk which makes but a thumb-full of flour be... But- well, they say you can't brew corn or potatoes into beer, you can, its good- but, well, you know the type of curmudgeons who can't stand anything different... Though pardon, I shouldn't complain overmuch-" he says, putting on a self-derisive smile.   "But that be the reason I left. A general dissatisfaction... And, or so I'm told, this is my people's ancestral homeland. Before they all got sucked away." he says, gesturing outwards towards. the rolling plains. "Disappeared back into the crystal for which we all came from. That's what happened, you know, the Aedall didn't bury their dead. They had a magical crystal, like wizards use, to take death and make life. Thats why our eyes are so bright. Its from being born of crystals. But apparently they wanted to do it another way, and the crystals had enough and brought them back." he posits in the manner of a confidential secret, rural life and poor education seeming to have afforded him some bizarre belief of his ancient forebears and whatever magic they had. "But I come now to have honest labor in a free land of my people's birth. To grow for myself goodly crops of corn and potato, and make pottery in the way of my more immediate forebears." he posits with a pleasant smile. "What of you, grandma? You said you can tell a first time, how come you go along and than not stay?" Usage of AI to generate, modify or translate the writing on your application will result in denial of your whitelist. Character Race: Arsa Sidhe/Elf Character Age: Early 30s.  Brief Physical Description: An elf of a middling height just under 6 feet tall, with almost yellow blond hair, and tanned skin. He has a pleasant, vaguely pretty, if not constantly sheepish looking face. He wears an odd get-up, almost a long-johns esque onesie of a garment embroidered with simple designs of fields and the sun. He has somewhat of an undercut, though with a long ponytail which extends past his backside. He is faintly more broad shouldered than most of his kind given his way of life, though still bears the lithe, thin-waisted figure expected of his people. He is of some secluded rural peoples of his kind, though he paints his face as some might put on jewelery, he does bear one, seemingly intentional scar across his nose under his eyes, which is many times made more apparently with a small layer of dark facepaint. Image of Skin and Figura Model : (Will likely adjust the model as I become better acquainted with Figura, and his outfit as he adjusts to the culture of the Reach)
