OOC Minecraft Username: Javander   Are you at least 18 years old?: Yes   Have you read the rules? (Link): Yes   (Optional) Were you referred by someone? If so, who: I've known this server existed, but nites said they were joining… so I followed suit.   (Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): I'm Jav, I just love writing and doing silly stuff. First time running a fem character, we'll see how it goes! Really looking forward to my time here :D   —   In-Character Read the following prompt:   The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.   “Nervous?”   You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sitting near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.   “I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.   “Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”   How do you respond (in character)?    Streaks of ginger splashed themselves across the blur of wood and foliage, the autumn breeze channelling her head round about its axis. As she inclined to meet their gaze, a custard star would veil her eyes, its five-pointed edges shrouding her countenance. One could observe a slight crinkle in the corners of her eyes as the maple leaf brushed down. Her lips parted momentarily- as if to voice a complaint, yet upon observing her inquirer, they would fold into a small smile.    ‘Why I have…?’ She'd mummer, her hand rhythmically smoothing out the caramel strands wafting about her vision. ‘Come to the Reach?’ An austere gaze would follow the utterance of these words.    ‘I suppose some might deliver a mediated response,’ Her head would titter about in satire, ‘I want to contribute to the good of this world, no matter how small!’   ‘I'd rather be direct. I've come here for opportunities. Wealth, Knowledge, Fame- the unsung triplets in every romantic hymn.’   ‘Though…’, for what it seemed like a moment, an orb hovered above the obsidian depths within her pupils. Was it the sun? Exuding its golden radiance, a passion that was neither holy nor conserved. It was… the inverse of an eclipse, the sun drawing itself out of the stygian river. Sun? No, it was more… superficial- ah, perhaps a coin.    ‘The first might have been the greatest inclination.’   Yet ironically enough, it was this same ‘light’ that contrasted, and thus brought into attention- the void of ink congulating it.    ‘I mean, I'm a Valkiyan, after all… family? Ah, at the moment I happen to be alone. ‘ Onyx waves engulfed her pupils seamlessly. ‘What I mean to say is, I watched them get cremated. All due to the… lack of wealth.’ It could not be described as a chuckle- nor a sigh. It harboured neither exasperation nor disdain. It was as if something had simply exited her body, the very essence, life in her breath.   It trailed into the perpetual stomping, drowned by the whispers of the wind- She’d joust her hand in the air, as if to contain, harbour the lingering sentiment that drifted by. Left in her hands was but a solemn resolve, the vague silhouette of desire gleaming through the transparent, yet impervious sea within her pupils.    ‘I’ve come to search for the… lucky coin as well. I’ve witnessed many merchants with it, and I’ve reckoned that it would be what I need to turn my life around. Alas, legends claim that the coin needs brilliant feats…’ She’d tilt her head towards the inquirer, offering them a shrug. ‘There's a reason as to why us Valkyians regard the lady of the lake, and not this…’    ‘Lady Luck.’   Lady Of the Lake… In demand of something, one had to forfeit and object of equal value. In this case, are you losing or gaining?   Lady Luck… Luck in general, it is often portrayed as completely random, out of one's hands. Yet in reality, luck favours the prepared- Such as those who seek the coin. In this case, is Luck random or systematic?   We will never truly know. Are we living, or dying? Are the birds in the sky flying or falling? It all depends on the angle- those eyes of yours.     Why am I here?   It all depends on those eyes of yours.             —   Character Name: Arian Hyzeveth   Character Race: Human    Character Age: 21   Brief Physical Description: A petite 5’5 ginger, with a pale, slightly lavender irises adorned with black pupils. Dons a long brown dress, but she'd be just as comfortable with any other types of clothing. She tends to scowl slightly when focusing.
