OOC Minecraft Username: Mudbloods Are you at least 18 years old?: Yes Have you read the rules? (Link): Yes(Optional) How did you hear about Avalore?: Planet Minecraft(Max. 1) Were you referred by someone? If so, please provide their in-game username: N/A (Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins) Hi, I’m Mudbloods / Hobbits. I enjoy writing, creating a variety of skins for different outfits and moods, and I love to roleplay, from forums RP’s to Minecraft. I've been enjoying Pathfinder with my friends and appreciate the mixture of RPG elements and Roleplay, so Avalore captured my attention compared to the other RP servers I've played. — In-Character Read the following prompt: The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands. “Nervous?” You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes. “I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in. “Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?” How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium.  Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?) Usage of AI to generate, modify or translate the writing on your application will result in denial of your whitelist. There will be no chance to re-apply afterwards. At the Southern Reach, the gentle wisps of the wind hum between the sounds of thuds and patters. A woman adorned with blonde hair sits shoulder to shoulder crammed packed like sardines in the wooden wagon. She thinks of the times of when she was a child, Katelyn always wanted to be a knight! A sense of remembrance loomed over her at those very nights. Her mother and Father tucked her into bed as they began spinning fairytales of the Lady of the Lake. Stories of knights with valor, honor, and heroism. The particulars of a few she always seemed to remember, a once lone knight fighting a Grotgrub or, the fable of a knight protecting the innocents in the forest against a Mournshade or even, her favorite story of the farmer, a knight and a Grumpkin! With nostalgia filling her mind, the small curve of a grin forms through the passing time. Though even with dreams and aspirations - it gave her time to ponder. Why would the Lady of the Lake ever accept a woman like Katelyn, after all she is harmless but has a smile that glows, like a luminous Fireglow Dragonfly but what sets her apart from this creature is, she is a cowa- “Nervous?” A voice cuts for a moment as flickering eyes set back from distant memories. The wind howling peacefully seemingly juxtaposed to the creaky wagon. Reality sets in. Tension. Katelyn's gaze meets the elderly woman, her face exposed showing confusion, and maybe a hint of fear. The  “Wuh - I…” Her words tangled like unkempt hair. A Valk shouldn't be nervous. Katelyn points to herself, “Me?”  The woman lets out a faint laugh; her intentions pure and sympathetic just like all elderly women her age. “I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in. Katelyn shifts a little, her posture showing guard like an animal meeting someone for the first time. “Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?” ‘Opportunity.’ But that’s not the word that came out of her mouth. She wants the opportunity to be what her mother and father speak of in the fables. The opportunity to be valor. The opportunity to be honorable. The opportunity to be a Knight that the Lady of the Lake wants in a land that might need knights. Ironically however, she shields herself from the truth in a way, like a knight wearing their armor. But like the tales of the Lady of the lake, there is one thing a knight isn't. A Coward… “Work…” — Character Name: Katelyn Morrowfell Character Race: Human Character Age: 28 Brief Physical Description: Dark Blonde hair wrapped in a loose braid, with locks of hair framing the front of her face. Her nose is rather scrunched, eyes the color of green and has a complexion that is off the dirt of a peasant. With a slender build, she stands at 5’3” and typically wears clothes of commoner - dresses made of used silks that have been sewn and fixed together, and has tattered leather boots.
