Character Name: Zipporah
Desired Fable: Wild Nature - Instinct of Beast
What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?: From Zipporah's birth, she had been part of the wilds. Abandoned in it, only to be picked up and adopted by a feytouched traveling in their caravan out on the cold steps. But since then, her hunger to return and seek shelter in it is constant. Raised by a falconer, she was taught to work with and train birds-of-prey. Often taking them out for hours on end into the vast sea of grass to hunt for game. As an adult, these skills were used to poach for pelts. A lifestyle that never sat well with her. Once her contract was lost and burned during the raid of bandits, she escaped towards the Spire. Before she even reached there, she encountered the golden eagle that would become her current companion, Argus. Just as lost and hungry as she was. She helped the eagle by tossing coins to distract the flock of crows so she could guide the eagle to a safe place to rest and eat their fill. In turn, he eagle helped to shelter during an incoming rain. And since, the two have been nearly inseperable.
Now within the Spire, she has made her home within a cave by Myrtle Lake and across the large bridge that spans it. She has regularly gone on hunting trips. Some of the highlights include putting a Krackerstag out of its misery after getting caught in a root and injuring itself beyond saving. Avoiding a wolf that was seeking shelter on the edge of the Flower Valley and shooing it back towards the wilds. On another hunt, they found a mother bear and her cubs who seemed to have knocked over a lantern and burned down a hunting lodge that caused the bearcub to be set on fire. Zipporah used her magic to sap the heat away and extinguish the flames at the risk of her and her companion being attacked by the bear, and saving the bear cub. And most recently, saving an extraodrinarily large Dirft and their clutch from poachers who had been eating the beasts as an easy meal. Saved by scaring them away using a swarm of wasps. For Zipporah, the wild is a place that provides. It is where she seeks comfort and sustinence. As much as she takes, she also looks to give back to the wilds where she can. Keeping to the balance of death and regrowth.
