Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Looks away while answering, "Not really, I'm glad i can restart here, actually. "
Staring at the floor boards, notices I've been day dreaming, then quickly looks back at the older women. Stays quiet for a bit wondering if I should even answer or just keep it to myself. "Is it that obvious I'm not from around here? I guess that doesnt suprise me. I was never really able to hide myself back then either. I mean look at me, I never blended in with the other Korami, seeing I never wanted to fight like the others do." I say in a mocking tone while playing with the knife in my hand, emblazened with a hand-carved symbol of Aedall.
"I... wanted to leave my last... life behind, I guess. People back there never really accepted me, so I'm hoping for a fresh start here." I tug on my long sleeve to fix it. "People around me always told me that my life would have no meaning. I know that may sound dumb, but that was always very important to everyone back where I'm from."
She keeps playing with the knife, the older women notices the symbol. she asks "is that knife from the Aedall's?" I quickly put it away in my boot "No, i tried to make it look like their symbol but it didnt work out. When i was in the Spire i thought i saw a look a like symbol in their library, but im second guessing if that was even what the symbol looked like back then. I gues we will never know."
