Lacie gave the man a quick once-over, pleasantly flashing her teeth in reflex as she was warmly received. "Something that burns," she drawled breezily. "And if all you have is Falstoner pale ale, don't bother."She caught the glint at his eye and held it with a pair of rose-pink ones, as she leaned an elbow on the bar and propped her chin on her knuckles. "Maarten," she repeated, weighing the name. "You're staring. I'm sure the Spire doesn't often see half-elf roses such as myself, but do try to look in moderation," she admonished, with a peacock's modesty. It was hard to tell how much of her words she believed, with the smile gone from her lips, but there something mischievous that settled in her expression.At his question, she brightened. "The name's Lacie. What an excellent question! I told someone with some small amount of influence in Rulan that he kissed like a drowning fish. Now I'm laying low 'til the storm passes."
