Hi Moony, thanks for getting back so quickly! I'm glad you enjoyed it :]I have edited out the Falstoner bits, and replaced them with Valk-flavored snippets. (Thank you for the clarification/recommendation!)I have also changed it from being ambiguous about her mental state to clear outright that she is just simply a little bit crazy. This change makes it far easier to write about, now that I'm not trying to toe the line of plausible deniability, or trying to tie it in to anything. No spirits, just loopy. Easy peasy! Also, yes, I did mean from head to foot. (I've changed it to just say that for clarity.) Sorry for the confusion! If there is anything else I ought to change, or need to redo my changes, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Minecraft Username: g1nger_4le Are you at least 18 years old?: I am. I am 24. Have you read the rules? (Link): I have. (Optional) Were you referred by someone? If so, who: Not directly. I heard about Avalore in the comment section of a youtube video that detailed a similar server which is no longer running. (Optional) Introduce yourself if you’d like, as well as any creations you want to share (e.g. art, builds, skins): Hello. I’m ginger ale (or just ginger if you like). I draw on occasion, but truthfully I don’t draw well enough to merit any sort of showcase. I try to be as polite as I can, though I’ve been told I end up coming across a little stilted and clumsy. I also tend to be a little on the anxious side, but I’m working on that irl. Nevertheless, I do look forward to meeting you all. <3(I will also say, for the sake of transparency, that I am effectively new to role playing, let alone role playing on Minecraft and associated forums. As such, I will defer to others instruction and opinion, should the need arise.) — In-Character Read the following prompt: The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands. “Nervous?” You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes. “I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in. “Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?” How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum - please make sure to include some references to our lore in your response!)Enth stops weaving the floral wreath in her hands and looks at the woman through her tangled hair. Her face dirty and unkempt, she gives back a genuine (albeit yellow) smile in earnest. Her thoughts drift to what events brought her to sitting in this particular wagon, of all wagons, being spoken to by this particular old woman, of anyone else it could have been, at this particular moment in time, of all moments from the great beginning to the great ending. Enth thinks of her journey, and all the things she has seen and done up until now. In the entirety of her life, all the roads she has traveled, rivers crossed, meals eaten, flowers picked, and pebbles counted, each one has led her here, to this moment, in this cart, with this woman. She remembers her home village, having been born and (mostly) raised in a small community of farmers and laborers. She remembers how, as a child among workers, her “quirks” were not something looked on positively, rather, she was seen as a cursed child. She was the tenth child (where she chose her current name “Enth” from) of a farmer from a remote village considered to err on the superstitious side by other Valkians. Having been one to talk to the open air, speak of inanimate objects as if they were alive, and reference events she could not know about (and did not even happen), people were quick to label her as deeply cursed by the fey. While she herself is uncertain whether she is doubly-fey-cursed, in possession of some magical gift, or just plain mad, external attempts at divining “just what is up with her*” have all been, unfortunately, quite conclusive. The poor girl is nuts. She denies this, of course, opting instead to take a "different strokes" perspective on the case of her own mental state. However, village healers, leaders, wisemen, and wise-guys alike are all in agreement. Definitely nuts. This tension culminated in a “better safe than sorry” approach to the situation, and she found herself frequently shunned, not only by merchants and peers, but by her own family, in her own home. Some local Valkians went so far as saying her deteriorated mental state was a clear sign of an inherent lack of honor. Broken-hearted, she decided she would be better off to live a sort of nomadic life (or die trying), and at just 16, she set off with nothing but a backpack into the woods, set on wandering in perpetuity.Enth’s face twists in contemplation, thinking of how this, her story, is why anyone travels anywhere. To search. Some have easy searches, like searching for the home of their relatives they annually celebrate with, who have lived in the same house for generations. Easy search. Others have more difficult searches, like finding food in the vast tundra that doesn’t also think you yourself are food. She thinks about her search. How she doesn’t have anything to search for. Maybe that is, in and of itself, a search. She quickly dismisses the thought, figuring it too philosophical for any practical use. In her mind, whatever reason she is traveling, this kind old woman must also be traveling for the same reason. To search. After many long seconds of silence, “Oh! Me too,” she finally answers, entirely unhelpfully. Satisfied in giving her reply, and characteristically failing to recognize it for the inane non sequitur it is, she happily returns to her weaving.*a question often asked by members of her home village. — Character Name: Enth (she has abandoned any family name) Character Race: Fey-Touched (woodland) Character Age: 20 Brief Physical Description: Standing no taller than 5’3 (at a glance), her tangled and messy black-brown hair sports a wreath of varied, albeit slightly wilted, flowers. Woven herself, she’ll proudly tell you, and harvested from the detritus of the forest floor, she makes and remakes such crowns as self-appointed busywork. If one were to measure her from head to foot, one would find she is much closer to 5’8, and only appears shorter due to her (frankly abysmal) posture. Arms wrapped from shoulder to palm in multicolored cloth, her bare and rose-tinted fingers bear numerous small scratches at various stages of healing, as well as dirt from her favorite hobby: “diggin’ ” (sic.) Leaves poke out through these arm wraps, mostly green, some yellow, and even a few red ones can be seen. Slouched and twitchy, her gait is such that she seems unbalanced, and, should she move any faster than a power walk, would seem to threaten to break into an uncanny and disjointed four-limbed gallop. Should one manage to catch a glimpse through her matted hair, one would see her eyes are of a dingy, tarnished brass color, bearing no pupil of course, sclera solidly colored. Her leaves seem to creep up her neck, and would threaten to envelop the whole of her face, but stop just shy of her jawline. Her skin is a pale rose color, and she wears a torn jacket made for someone (quite literally) twice her size over her shoulders like a cloak or robe of some sort.(note from ginger ale: If this is too long, please let me know. I also want to mention that, should it be at all necessary, I am more than willing to trim, edit, or remake this character, as well as simply start over, if need be. )
