Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Vinith has situated himself in a corner of the wagon, large arms crossed over his chest. Despite his size, he tries to make himself smaller in hopes to offer other passengers enough room to be comfortable for the ride. The wagon is packed enough, as is. He’s almost still as a statue and looks like one, too, with his skin grey and stone-like in nature. If he held still long enough, one might even mistake him for some sculpture.
Alas, the tapping of his blackened fingertips on his bicep gives away the illusion.
“Nervous?” The Greatling repeats after her, his attention finally shifting away from the passing scenery. “No, ma’am, I wouldn’t exactly call it nerves. If anything, I might even say I’m excited,” though his body language gave none of that away, nor did his tone. He’ll angle himself more toward her as she continues, watching the woman with eyes that look of pure orange molten rock.
“It’s my first time, yes, but everyone needs to leave home, eventually,” he goes on with a rare chuckle, a flash of teeth in what could be called a smile. “My people are nomadic in nature, it was only a matter of time before I began travelling, myself. But who's to say I can’t stick around for a while if I find something worthwhile in my journeys?” He'll pause, looking out of the wagon once more.
“I needed a change in scenery, anyway,” he goes on, “the Ashlands aren't so bad, but I’ve grown tired of jagged, mountainous rock. I want to see what these greener pastures have to offer.” With a nod of his head, he motions to the rolling hills around them, both beautiful and unfamiliar territory to the man.

Character Race: Volcanic Fey Touched / Greatling
Character Age: 24
Brief Physical Description: Vinith is on the bulkier side, and stands at a solid 7’9”, skin a stone-grey hue, with horns that protrude from his forehead and curve backward. The tips of his fingers are blackened, and he has a few patches of scales mostly on his shoulders and hips. His eyes are pure orange, and he frequently cuts his hair to keep it short and out of his face. He tends to wear lighter clothes, not one to bundle up.
