Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
*I shift my weight on the bench as the wagon creaks beneath us, glancing toward the Southern Reach’s distant horizon. The older woman’s kind voice breaks through the haze of memory, and I offer a tired but genuine smile.* “I’ve come for something I should have found long ago,” *I say after a moment, fingers brushing the hilt of a blade wrapped in faded cloth on my lap.* “A second chance. A new start.”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
"My name is Aeran, son of Mirell, of the mountain-settlement clans in Ko’ram. My people call themselves the Korami, and in our high, stone-shrouded homeland, strength and legacy are etched into everything we are. Like many of my kin, I was raised speaking Elvish, the Ancient Tongue, but the dialect of home has long been eroded by slang and soldier's silence. Handsign, they call it now. We learned to speak with our fingers when words failed us on the battlefield or were swallowed by grief.
My family blade hangs at my side. Not sharp. Not meant to be. It is ceremonial, a dull shard passed down generations, heavy not with steel but with story. When I lost it in a raid, I thought my family's tale ended with me. But I reclaimed it. I reforged its meaning. Now I carry it westward, as the tradition demands when a new family line begins. The past is not forgotten, but I must begin anew.
The Arsa Sidhe once ruled us all, but we humans broke away, born from brimstone and fire. We made our own fate. I hope to do the same. I come to the Reach not out of fear, but out of resolve. Like those first Nua Sidhe, I seek to write my own path, far from the shadows of what came before."
How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium. Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?)

Character Name: Aeran MirellsonCharacter Race: Human (Korami)Character Age: 29
Brief Physical Description:Aeran bears the lean, weatherworn look of a mountain-born warrior. His skin is a deep, earthy tan, marked by old scars from battles fought and survived. His hair is long and dark, often tied back with a leather thong, and his beard, though trimmed, frames a face lined with quiet intensity. His eyes are a pale blue-grey, common among the highlanders of Ko’ram, reflecting both the frost of his homeland and the burden of memory. He wears a heavy traveling cloak, wool-lined and well-worn, and at his side rests a wrapped ceremonial blade, its dulled edge a symbol of legacy rather than war.
