Have you read the rules? (Link): I have, I am especially fond of the existence of an entire section dedicated to player safety. I am also quite fond of the mentioning of the 'Yes, and...' mentality since I come from an extensive TTRPG (D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Stars Without Number, Lancer, etc) and improv background.
(Optional) How did you hear about Avalore?: A friend of mine decided to check out the server and kept me informed of what they liked and didn't like. After a while I decided that Avalore sounded interesting enough to check out and here I am.

Hey there, I am Yan. One the wrong side of 20 years old. Advocate for human rights such as gender affirming care and the right to punch fascists in the jaw (to only name a few). When I am not at work I enjoy writing and doodling, albeit I do the latter rather poorly. I am fairly sociable, however am also quite passionate about what I believe to be right or the things I enjoy. If anything I say does rub someone the wrong way, I am more than open to being told so and will do my best to adjust accordingly. I am also big on mental health and keeping the spaces I occupy safe.
Full transparency: Me and some friends of mine are working on our own MCRP project, which I only mention to make sure you are aware I am not here to 'poach', 'steal' or do anything of that regard. I am generally of the "Holy shit, two cakes?" mentality when it comes to good things existing at the same time.
Oh yeah I also really like a lot of DropoutTV shows like Dimension20 and GameChanger. If given the chance I can and WILL speak at unholy lengths about Brennan Lee Mulligan and how much I adore that man. This is a threat.

In-Character
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Anders, his mind still somewhat drifting between his thoughts and the present, scratches his stubbly chin as he shoots a glance towards the older woman.
After a few long seconds in which he visibly studies her he suddenly seems content with what he sees and replies with a mild southern creole accent, though his voice is still hoarse from not having spoken in a while.
"Is this a hobby of yours, granny? Are you just nosy? Or better yet, are you here to check out newcomers for who-knows-who?"
The paranoid man laughs bitterly, the smell of cheap wine (if you can even call it wine) wafting from his mouth.
"What tends to bring people to the Southern Reach? Opportunity? No. There is nothing for me north of the wall except for a noose. Got kicked out of my pact when I was barely a man for being unreliable. Headed past the wall and worked on a vineyard in the Duchy. Was a mercenary for a while too, but thats apparently not good pay ever since the disappearance. Wall isn't being maintained well either, I mean why would it be? No properly manned Wall means no stable employ. And I am not fighting who knows where just so I can afford a meal. But the vineyards in the Duchy aren't exactly paying that great either so I may have...had some side dealings. It's not like they can sell all that wine anyways! Greedy Valks..."
The shady Walljack man begins to scratch his belly, visibly relaxing as his paranoia is quickly replaced by the overwhelming desire to info dump on this poor old woman.
"Was almost caught, so I decided to cut my losses and go see what all this fuss was about. The Spire sounds honestly pretty interesting. Council of Four? Elected?! Better than being ruled by some king or lord I tell you."
He scoffs, though more in awe than disdain.
"Got a mate that offered to help me get settled. Am good with a bow you see. Not sure the Spire Militia is for me though. Kind of have enough of that sort of thing, you know? But between you and me...if Albern Crossing is any indicator for how the Spire is going to be like, consider my expectations thoroughly dashed."
Anders lets out another laugh, this time more sarcastic than bitter.
"You want to hear the real reason why I am here though? Met this woman while I was on the run. Creepy one. Talked all weird. Told me to head south. Said I would find what I am looking for with the Coven."
He grins, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"There is little I would not give to get ahead in life, granny. Consorting with witches...I am not above that."

Character Name: Anders Tyllwir
Character Race: Walljack Human
Character Age: 24
Brief Physical Description: Anders is a tall and lankey man in his mid-twenties, with fairly long limbs that make him move rather oddly. His face is weathered and square. Ugly, but strangely enough not unpleasantly so. His nose is crooked from several breaks and his dark brown hair is shortly cropped. His leathery skin is somewhat tan from his time spent outdoors and a faded scar on his lower lip is all what remains from a childhood injury. His cold eyes are a rather ugly grey and tend to dart nervously around as he takes in his surroundings at all times. His nails are short, clearly due to a tendency to chew on them whenever he is anxious and his hands are callous from his training with a bow and time spent working.
