Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum)
"Oh, that's easy!" Kehlani laughs, returning the woman's grin with one of her own. She doesn't seem bothered about being pulled from whatever daydream she'd been lost in. "I'm seeking a new adventure!"
"Adventure?" The lady raises a brow, looking curious.
"Yeah! I thought coming to a new place would lead me to a fun new adventure. And maybe some new friends!"
"Really now?" The lady muses, simply staring at Kehlani. "What made you think that the Reach was the place for that, my dear?"
"Oh, you know, just a gut feeling. Intuition, I suppose you could call it." Kehlani bounces where she sits, seeming to be just full of energy. The grin remains.
"Well, I can't fault you for that. Instincts are some of the strongest things we have. They never lead us astray." The lady nods her head.
"That's what Mom used to say, always trust your instincts!" Kehlani agrees.
"I hope you find the adventure you're looking for then." The lady says, smiling again.
"Thank you!" Kehlani's grin widens.

Brief Physical Description: Kehlani has a friendly air to her, almost always have a smile to her face. It's rare to see her not happy and energetic. She's about 5'5, though she'll say she's 5'6 on a good day. She has long brown hair, that she rarely does anything with. The most she does is tie it back to keep some of it out of her face. There's natural waves to her hair, giving it a fair amount of volume. Flowy outfits are what she normally wears, enjoying clothing that allows her to move easily.
