Hello! My name is Vrashira (pronounced Fra-Shee-Wra) and I enjoy roleplays, D&D-like mechanics, medieval fantasy and creating worlds. (Yes, I create overly complicated world systems that rival quantum physics in terms of complexity. And I am very proud of each sentence my 30+ page long word documents have <3) I suck at art but am currently making my own vtuber model based off of a sea serpent ..monster ...thing from a world a character of mine used to live in. I can show a bit of the char sheet for it if you guys wish to see ^^ (I used the name Yazomo as a placeholder until I decided to use the sea creature as my overall persona, as I was unsure what kinda character design I want as a final look. And the character it's based off of is called Vrashira Vraqoth, so here I am. For hobbies, I do Iaido, kenjitsu, italian+spanish rapier, epée, saber and dagger fights with historical fencing and love anything swords related. I know a lot of random facts and lore of random objects that nobody expected to have any lore at all. I really like anime and hated being called a weeb for wanting to learn japanese, so now I studied japanese history, my teachers at school asked me to do a workshop or a lesson about japanese history, business etiquette and even just Q&A's before based on japan for that, and I am now known as the japan swords guy :D. It's actually interesting yk.. I see you squinting your eyes ah huh..

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium. Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?) *
The young man turns to the old lady, a smile forming on his face to reciprocate the kindness. "There's an island.. Veery far from here, you see? Somewhere, over that horizon." He points off towards where the skies meet the surface in the direction of the ocean. "It's called Home. Our graceful lady Serene sang my name to sail off into the distance. So, I answered." His smile grows weak, warm and longing, but also brimming with anticipation for the future ahead. "Small for an island, gigantic for one man to explore alone. That's home. Giant trees towering over almost the entire place with a settlement in the middle of this large forest. it was originally a formation of rocks with a very convenient wall-like shape which my ancestors used as walls. The holes being sealed with wood and a giant gateway in the middle to get in. We have this ritual where the young build a boat and sail off to find a story worth telling, or a trinket worth to show off back at home. You can choose whether or not to actually partake, though as many may never return.. I, personally enjoy the thrill of combat and have always found amusement in exploring areas nobody else has explored yet back then! So, I have come here ashore to find a trinket obtained with the greatest story a man can tell!" He stands up, unsheathing his blade with a clean swoosh. "And also to finally put this rusty metal clunk through some training hell with no disturbance.." The Mistan whispers with a smug grin, as if knowing that the people back at his hometown would find such reasons to be childish. "And I also want to meet a.. Nua.. Sidhe? No.. Kitril said that's us.. Arse-a Sidhe! (The Spire one) Right! That one! I never really paid attention whenever my father told me about our history.." Fenrir chuckles and pats the back of his head. "I've never actually met one of those, but I heard that they are supposedly better than us! I want to meet one and ask them all about this place, about the secrets to changing your face colors (talking about their thin skin, making their faces turn very red when blushing or raging) and also to fight one!" Fenrir grasped his ear and gently pulls on it, making it appear larger and pointier, yet still very human-like with little to no actual change. "Are their ears really longer than my finger?" A curious expression lingers on his face as he tries to imagine what these distant beings actually look like, almost as if retelling a fairytale he wants to experience himself. "It's always fun to spar with someone with higher skill level as you can go all out without needing to worry about hurting your opponent. These Arsa's always are portrayed as superior and fancier, so I'm sure they must be really fun to train with." He rubs his chin with his head high, nodding in approval with his own statement.
(He actually heard a lot of stories about Siren Serene and thinks of her as more than just a metaphorical being to represent karma at sea. To him, she was real and somewhere out there. Hearing stories about her always made him smile, which turned out to have him be madly in love with her, almost like how people grow to be obsessed with a fictional character. He never truly shows it or tries to deny it as she is still a story to explain a karma-like presence to teach people to respect the waters. He still often mentions her or tries to make her look good anytime he gets the opportunity to. To him, she's always watching over the Mistan and her ocean. He shows only his good sides at sea or out in public because of that, often hanging by the beaches at starry nights to admire the beauty of the ocean, and training swordsmanship at day to show off and brag about his skills to Serene. When frustrated or sad, he can be found in a quiet corner at the beaches as well, as to rant his sorrows and worries to Serene, hoping to get understanding. If the problem resolves quickly or turns good at the end, he always returns to the sea, thinking that it was Siren Serene's help. (No, he's never seen an actual Siren before, let alone Siren Serene as she never manifested with a physical body or directly interacted with anybody before.))

Character Name: Fenrir Lorvil
Character Race: Nua Sidhe (Da hooman) of Mistan Culture
Character Age: 18
Brief Physical Description: A 1.84m tall male with thin frame and slight muscle mass, most being on his legs. His face is oval with piercing ocean eyes and a smile decorating his face most of the time. He's got medium long wavy lighter black hair which mostly isn't longer than where his neck starts. Other than a small ponytail held together by a silver cylinder thingamajic. He's got a blue short-sleeved shirt covered with leather protection starting at where his ribcage starts. and another layer or slight metal armor parts covering the area between where his chest starts and the collarbone starts. the metal having some inscriptions on them with foreign runes, which at closer look don't even make sense as he carved them into the armor himself using a worn dagger to make it looker cooler. another leather shoulder brace covering both of his shoulders, and another one at his elbows and kneecaps. his right hand has got a fingerless glove with soft protection on his knuckles, whilst the left hand remains bare. a darker cyan color fills the monotone canvas of a scarf/cape which acts as a slight protection mostly merely covering his left arm till about half of where the upper arm stops. The scarf with cape-like feats have a framing like a picture around the edges with a silver color. He's got dark indigo pants with rough textures (or whatever is closest to that in Avalore) with big leather boots. Of course, it wouldn't be a medieval outfit without a big ol' leather belt with that thing in the middle of the belt being silver. Wait. Did I say one belt?! I meant THREE belts as it is a medieval outfit after all!! More belts = more immersive!
Also there's a rapier dancing about in a sheath dangling on his left hip.
