My name’s Jordan (or Airro, whichever you prefer). I played on a few MCRP servers between 2016 - 2021, but haven’t touched the game since, so I apologize in advance for my rusty RP while I get the hang of things again.
In real life I’m an audio engineer and a somewhat decent musician with a start-up audio production company. I do have a full-time job and a studio internship as well, so I hope it’s okay with everyone that I’ll be around but be more of a non-event focused player. I’m a little introverted until I get to know people, but once I warm up I can be extremely extroverted. I’m also a little sarcastic at times but I try to control it. My favorite band is twenty one pilots, my favorite color(s) are warm colors, I’m 5’7”, and I buy a lot of vinyls even though I don’t have a record player.
Now that my dating profile is complete (I’m kidding) with a lot of information you did not ask for, I look forward to being a part of the community.

Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

“To write a song..” Arun answers.
While his answer hangs in the air, Arun taps his foot along with the hoofbeats below them. From his bag, he pulls a beaten up Shamisen. The leather is worn and the wood is cracked; it’s a miracle it can be played. “The sounds here are different.. It’s nice.” he closes his eyes, tucking his hair behind his long ears.
“I’ve played too many stories that have been told over and over again.. Stories of red mountains and conflict, and the weight of expectations and the failure to meet them..”
With a pluck of a string on the shamisen, he begins to play a simple song; one that is not overly long or overly complicated. In truth, he is making it up as he plays, but focuses on the drumming of hooves and the natural rhythm in the air.
“All my life, my family has played a role in what seems like never-ending conflicts. For quite some time, too. With every hand that gripped our family’s blade, weapons were produced to supply a conquest for order..” His playing remains mellow and constant, speaking in time with the rhythm.
“My brother and I, however.. We disagreed with the family’s history. As a consequence, we were separated for some time.. But forced together when our father’s, and thus the family’s, expectations weren’t being met.” He pauses a moment, taking a breath before he continues
“With our father’s passing, my brother broke a long chain.. Choosing to live a life of his own making. Of course.. Some were not happy with such a decision..” a pluck of a string produces a note clearly out of place, sounding dissonant to the melody
“We were met with strife.. and the core of our family was taken; our blade being used as nothing more than fuel for their conflicts.” the pace of the melody picks up, dissonant notes increasing the tension. Eventually, Arun plucks a note completely out of pitch, introducing a sudden end to his song.
His eyes open, golden iris’ meeting the woman’s gaze “The song wasn’t finished.. And it never will be. So I’ll write a new one here, for it’s the only purpose I have now.”
With the song finished, he falls silent. The wagon halts, Arun packs up his shamisen, and hops off without a word..
