The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

— In all honesty...I am not quite sure. I find myself lost around these parts. The last thing I remember was being sent off by my parents, hearing the ringing sound of their voices in tune with the beating of own my heart. "May the Sun shine upon you". That was what they said to wish me farewell. Knowing myself, something probably spooked me, and I ran right into a tree. OH! Where are my manners, I know better than that. My name is Willow, Or Wills for short, whichever you prefer. I come from the Midlands! I am Valkian if you couldn't tell haha. AH! Sorry I can be very loud, I do remember why I am here. My mother told me she wanted me to explore the world. See people. Apparently, I was becoming "too spoiled" for her liking. I'm sure I'll be able to go back in no time. Once I prove to her...that I am not as spoiled? I actually don't know much of what she wants from me but I'm sure it will be fine. I was blessed with the greenery and more money than I could have imagined, and that's a problem? I beg to differ! My mother is full of it. I guess I will just have to play along with her little game until she notices how much she misses me and begs for me to come back home. Yea...she will come back for me. She has to. I wasn't even that bad. I need to stop psyching msyelf out. Anyways, I should go do whatever it is I need to do now, May the Sun Shine upon you.
