Hello hello, I am a 25 (going on 26) year old living in Ireland. I work in the sector of caring for kids in care who can't be with their families for one reason or another. I work shifts so my activity might be a bit unpredictable but I look forward to RPing again after a hiatus of 2 years.
Enough of my professional life, I also run a DnD game as a DM for some of my colleagues and friends, and I host a book club as well. I love to draw my characters, and build on MC in my free time, I also have a doggo named Jazzy or in full "Jasmine Winter Waffles". I'm quite the creative type, even crotcheting when the urge strikes me. It is one of my goals to start horse riding again and fencing again, as I used to be in the top 20 Women's fencers in South Africa back in 2018 (I think..).
As for my personality, I'd call myself quirky, open-minded, easy-going, and a bit of a limited edition! I can be silly and quiet simultaneously.
Thats it for now, I look forward to meeting everyone!

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (250 word minimum - please make sure to include at least three references to our lore in your response, with two coming from different pages in the Compendium. Two of the three selected should also be in-depth, avoid simply name-dropping lore terms. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?)
The elderly woman’s question lingers in the cool air, and for a moment I simply watch the plains drifting endlessly beyond the canvas flap. The Reach is beautiful in its vastness; empty, quiet, holding its secrets in the mists beyond the early morning horizon.
“I would not call it nervousness,” I answer softly, folding my hands in my lap. “Merely… a weight. Old memories that travel with more difficulty than oversized luggage.”
I offer her a small, polite smile before continuing.
“My family are Arsa Sidhe, though not the kind spoken of in old epics. The Collapse ensured that much. My ancestors once tended gardens for the high houses, but when the Nua Sidhe rose and the citadels burned, we fled eastward with little more than seed pouches. The world that had shaped us crumbled in the space of a year, and those who survived carried their history like ash. My mother used to say the old blossoms never grew quite the same after that.”
I breathe in, steady. Then out again, seeing it curl in the wintery chill.
“She believed the Aedall kept something alive that the rest of us lost. Not merely their isolation, but the why of it. When The Great Disappearance swallowed their villages whole, she felt it was not death. Rather… transition. A step through a door the rest of us could not see. She spent her life studying the flowers said to originate from their groves.”
My gaze drifts toward the horizon again. “Years later, when she and my father vanished on a trade voyage, one involving Valkian contracts entangled with Sanguifleur’s troubled politics I searched for any trace of what she had been chasing. Only to find my interests do not lie in the same path as hers did.”
My voice softens to a near-whisper. “And so I decided my luck and fortunes lays beyond the Valkian coasts. To the Reach. To the Spire.”
I finally look back at the woman, meeting her eyes with a grin. “So why have I come? To begin a new. To seek a fortune and restore my family name to its full glory. And perhaps, if the fates permit… to learn where my family’s path truly ends.”

Character Name: Aeralon Lothaire
Character Race: Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: 45
Brief Physical Description:
Aeralon Lothaire is a striking Arsa Sidhe with an effortlessly aristocratic bearing. Tall and finely built, he carries himself with the relaxed precision of someone who has spent a lifetime mastering posture and presentation. His skin is a warm, sun-touched tone making the sharp lines of his face stand out all the more: high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and a perpetually assessing gaze.
His hair is a cascade of silvery white waves, worn long and loose, framing his features in a way that seems deliberately, artfully unkempt. Strands often fall across his face, catching the light like threads of frost. His ears, elegantly pointed, peek through the curls.
Aeralon’s eyes are a deep golden-amber, sharp and attentive, with an expression that rarely betrays his thoughts. When he studies someone, it feels like he is measuring them, weighing their value, their secrets, their weaknesses.
He favors refined clothing with a touch of flourish: embroidered sleeves in deep teal and rust-red, a fitted dark vest with detailed trim, and a single flower tucked at his collar, a merchant’s quiet advertisement of his trade. His hands are long-fingered and precise, the hands of both a botanist and a duelist; elegant, but capable of swift violence.
Overall, Aeralon looks like someone carved from grace and calculation, beautiful in the way a blade is beautiful, and just as dangerous.
