Hey! I’m Nuummite. I’m entirely new to minecraft rp servers, but since I’ve been dming and playing ttrpgs for quite a while now, this place seemed like a good fit for me to take a swing at it!

Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

Marco gives the woman an easy grin in return, relaxed and leaning back against the wagon seat. He looks like a common traveler, his clothes quite dusty from the road. “Well, think I’m runnin’ out of places, honestly. Been just about everywhere else, so it was either here or up to the Ashlands. Just between you and me, seems a bit more inviting down here, y’know?”
The woman tilts her head curiously. “A traveler, then? My, my, you must have some interesting stories then.”
Marco shakes his head, waving off the comment. “Nah, nothin’ like that, really. I worked as a sailor on a merchant vessel. Our ‘exciting’ stories were things like gettin’ an unusually cheap price on a shipment of grain headed out of Fallstone.” He sighs in over-dramatic disappointment. “Never even saw a pirate, can you believe it?” Well, at least not working as a merchant. But I figure that story wouldn’t be very polite to talk about. “Still, I’ve certainly seen my fair share of ocean. Think the Siren gets impressed when you travel the whole thing? ‘Cause I gotta be gettin’ close!” He laughs.
She joins in his laughter for a moment. “The Siren Serene? Are you Mistan, then?”
At that, of all things, Marco’s grin flickers for a moment. It returns quickly, although a bit more… forced than before. “Um. Yeah, guess you could say that. Been a long time since I was there, though. Probably wouldn’t recognize me.” Not that he has any plans of going back. There were worse places to grow up an orphan than in a community as tight knit as those in the Mist Isles, but even the kindness got suffocating eventually. He visibly shakes off the thought. “Besides! I finally saved up a few crowns, and where better than The Spire to find opportunity! Maybe I’ll end up having my own ship built some day, get my own trading company started!” His smile softens from bravado into a more wistful contentment. “Or just see where the wind carries me.”

Brief Physical Description:
He looks like any number of human men, easy to lose in a crowd. Tall but not imposing, he has a slim, lanky build. His skin is tanned from long hours in the sun, and his hair is a mess of dark brown waves. He wears fairly mundane travelling clothes in muted colors, although close inspection reveals them to be both of fairly high quality and well worn.
